Basically, Iceland have only 11% of land that is covered with ice while Greenland have 80%. The story in iceland is a viking who climbed a mountain in the spring to check the weather since his settlement in the island was a failure and then saw
an ice drift out in the water and that's when he changed the name of the island to 'Iceland'. In greenland's case is kinda diff as the island was named 'Greenland' in hopes to attract more people
