Blank Expressions (Ninjago x Reader Insert)

The Great Devourer

A few hours later after leaving, a storm struck. As (Y/N) flew through the stormy night, she tried her hardest to cover Packy so he doesn't get soaked. She felt horrible for leaving the ninja right then & there. But she knew that she had to get rid of the ruby. However, part of her wants to keep it. She had created so many memories wearing it. Not just in Ninjago. But in other places as well.

Back in Mayhew, whenever she had on the necklace, she was able to roam around at night when she wanted to get away from her abusive father. Her brother had been abused too. But when he was fourteen, he got away from there as far as possible. The sad part was that (Y/N) hadn't seen him since. & the father had been telling her that he got killed in a vehicle accident. But she knew that it wasn't true.

(Y/N) hoped to see her father again. Because she wants to give him some retribution for all the shit he had done to her & her brother. However, it'll be when she's ready to face him. She has a lot of training to do.

As she was still flying in the brisk, stormy sky, she went to the Forest Of Tranquillity & sat in one of the trees that looked like it reached the clouds. There, she set Packy down on one of the branches. He laid his head on her lap.

"I know, mama's tired too," she said soothingly. "But we are gonna get some rest. & tomorrow we're gonna figure out how to dispose of the ruby."

Packy grunted in confusion.

"Don't get me wrong. I loved being the Blank Ruby & I loved the benefits. But I think it's time. That we get rid of it. Don't you think?"

To this, Packy yawned as his eyes slowly shut. (Y/N) stroked his fur as her eyes began to shut as well.

She was right. They needed rest. & she made a priority that she'll take care of the ruby first thing when she wakes up. (Y/N) might have to get a new name. If she gets rid of the ruby, then she'll no longer be the Blank Ruby. Instead, she'll earn back the nickname of the emotionless young woman. That's if she was emotionless without the ruby.

(Y/N)'s eyelids grew heavier & before she knew it. She fell asleep. With the storm slowly calming down.

As the ninja headed for the Torchfire Mountain, they had the fangblades in their hands. Ready to dispose of them.

"Will everyone please place their seat back & tray table in the full upright and locked position?" asked Nya. "We have reached our destination: Torchfire Mountain. Give it a minute while we settle into position."

The ninja exits the cabin, prepared with the fangblades.

"It's roasting out here," said Jay.

"Heh. If you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen," joked Kai.

"Hey, what's with Sensei?"

"I do not know," answered Zane. "He's been distant all morning."

"Ah, it is beautiful, is it not?" said Wu.

"Sensei, we are ready for the destruction of the Fangblades, yet you seem disinterested," Zane said.

"You do not need my approval to finish the task."

"Uh, but Sensei-" Jay began.

"Butts are for sitting. & besides, there will come a time when you will have to go on without me."

"Sensei, you're talking crazy," Kai said. You've been alive for, like, forever." Cole nudged him. "Ugh!"

"What he is trying to say is you are like the sunrise," Zane explained. "We cannot begin a day without you."
