KENMA
"Yes?", Kenma answers the phone call from the lobby.
"Sir, there's a man in the lobby who wants to see you. He says it's urgent.", the woman says, making Kenma's heart race for a reason he himself wasn't aware of.
He says silent for a few seconds as he continues to sign some more papers.
"Does he have an appointment?", Kenma puts down his pen and gets up from the chair.
The woman stays silent for a few seconds, hesitating with her answer.
"Well.. no, sir. But he keeps saying he knows miss L/n...", Kenma ends the call, making his way down to check who it was.
He dials Y/n's number twice, but he doesn't get an answer. A hundred questions raced into Kenma's mind. Was it Y/n's shitty father? What does he want with her?
His thoughts were put to a halt after he saw who actually was the man, recognizing him almost immediately.
"It's okay, he can stay.", Kenma says to the security trying to talk to the man.
They quickly leave him alone. Kenma approached him, wanting to know why he was there.
"Is- Is there anything wrong?", he asks politely, worry also in his voice.
"Do you... know where Y/n is staying at currently?", Keishin asks in such a tired manner after wandering through the streets of Tokyo for several hours.
Kenma hesitates on whether or not he should tell him, but his thoughts were cut off after the man began to explain.
"Her cousin, Kairi, ran away last night and... Y/n is the only one he's actually close with so I figured he'd come to Tokyo.", Kenma sighed, checking if his car keys were in his pocket.
"I'll drive you there...", he volunteers, wanting to make a good impression.
...
"Welcome back, sir.", the guard in the lobby greeted him and bowed and Kenma only nods in response.
"Wait, do you and Y/n live together?", Keishin asks out of curiosity.
Kenma chokes on his own saliva, thinking of how to respond tohim without being rude.
I wish.
"No, no...", he blushes. "We just live in the same building, that's all." , he quickly explains and Keishin raises an eyebrow.
They reach the elevator that was usually empty and Keishin was amazed by how grand the place looks, thinking about how successful these kids have gotten.
Kenma put his hands inside the pockets of his hoodie, trying to keep them warm due to the cold he felt from being nervous.
The elevator finally stops and they here a small ding before finally exiting. Keishin tries to call Y/n one last time, it rang but she never picked up.
Kenma stops in front of the unit number Y/n told him from last night, ringing the doorbell.
Y/N
"Kairi! Don't answer that!", she tries to shout as quietly as she can and the boy complied.
He looks at his cousin in confusion as he was pushed inside the bathroom. Y/n casually walked to the door to make everything look as normal as possible, even rubbing her eyes while she opened the door to make things seem more realistic.
"What... are you doing here?", she asks as if she didn't know the exact reason the two were at her door.
"Have you seen heard from Kairi anywhere?", Keishin asks the question even though he knew he didn't have to.
