The sound of my alarm clock was ringing in my ears, and I woke up to the sun getting in my eyes. I shut the alarm clock off and got out of bed. As I put my slippers on, I get a text from my friend, Maddie. 'Hey, girl! Going to the pool, ttyl!" I read the text in my head and set my phone down. "Ugh, all my friends are having fun without me." I sighed as I walked to the bathroom to brush my teeth.
I texted her back, 'Hey girlie can I come with you to the pool?"
I waited for a reply, as a few minutes past she texted back, "Er-sorry my mum won't allow me to go with friends"
I groaned.
I sat back on my chair and began to drift off to sleep again. That was until my mother yelled at me to come for breakfast.
This was going to be a 'great' summer.
