do you remember the garden?
it had yellow roses and an angel fountain that made it look as though the whole world was golden when the sunlight hit the water just right.
when we met the sunlight was hitting the water just right.
i still remember thinking "how could one person be so beautiful?"
i wonder if you've ever thought the same of me. i wonder if you've ever thought me so beautiful it tore at you from the inside because you wished that it could've stayed like that forever.
(you probably don't. you've probably forgotten about me by now.)
but that's fine, you never had to.
(never had to remember.
never had to think me so beautiful your heart crumbles and you crumble along with it when you realise i'm not yours.)
because being able to know the you back then so innocent and sweet and kind was enough and will always be enough.
and do you remember? i made you a little flower crown of yellow roses that day. it looked golden in your head, made you look like the gentlest and kindest king.
i wonder if you liked it. i hope you did.
maybe then the urge to make you another one would go away.
