Chapter 5: Disreputable Ruler of Arctia

Naramdaman ko ang kakaibang awra na nagbigay kilabot sa aking sistema.
napakabigat ng aking nararamdaman, bakas sa mga mata nito ang matinding galit sa mga maniningil ng buwis. Horses step back holding the chariots where levies in. I saw how he clench his fist and jaw, his tremendous aura that make this body feel  weaker. It's like he's blaming me for what's happening right now. But I didn't do anything! I didn't sign a paper earlier. Wala ako sa mansyon! Something's not right here. Duke Nikostratos walk on the other side, he talk to a suit-butler. Then a knight holding a bag of, I don't know what's inside.

   Then suddenly came back on the middle of market and throw the bag to the levies. If I may not mistaken its a bag of gems!

"Give that to the Duchess! And then leave or I'll turn you into ashes?!"

He said throwing ablaze from his eyes to them. The levies run their chariots as fast as they can. Then after a minute, the black atmosphere decrease, make my heart beat calm a bit.

"All creatures living here in Arctia! I won't let anyone from the above put you all under their slavery! Not when I'm still alive!"

My heart start to beat fast because of how I'm amaze to him. Like how the heck he can do that? No doubts, he's running for being the next king of Harlika. He's just amazing! His voice speak came from his pure heart. Everyone clap their hands because of that. Then suddenly he took a gaze where I am, I nervously move my face on the other side. Kinikilatis niya ang aking mukha, napakagat ako sa aking labi, I heard the butler call his name. Everyone's thanking him for what he do.

"I'll do everything to convince her people of Arctia! I need to go now."

He mean me, lahat ay buong pusong nagpasalamat sa kanya. Umalis ito at kumaway sa taong bayan. Nang ito'y makaalis lahat ay parang nahugotan ng tinik. Bumalik ang lahat sa kani-kanilang pwesto at patuloy na pinagusapan ang nangyari. Naririnig ko rin ang masasakit na salitang ibinabato nila patalikod sa akin. Naiintindihan ko sila dahil kahit ako'y talagang magagalit kay Luna Archinov. Ngunit hindi maayos ito, hindi makatarungan ito. Wala akong ginawa o pinirmahan na kung ano. Humarap ako sa mag-asawa kanina at nagpasalamat.

   Ang araw, hudyat nito'y alas syete na ng umaga. Tumakbo na ako kung saan tumungo ang karwahe ni Nikostratos. I need to get back on the mansion. Natanaw ko na ang mansyon, kaya'y napangiti ako, nabawi ito ng busangot dahil kahit tanaw ko na ito, malayo pa rin ang  tatakbuhin ko.

Hinigpitan ko ang tali sa aking buhok at hinabol ang aking hininga, nasa kalahati na ako. Natanaw ko narin sa malayo ang karwahe ni Nikostratos na pinaunlakan naman ni Butler Mon. Butler Mon is a new butler of Archinov Mansion. I know it since i asked the book, siya ang tumayong magulang ni Luna. He's been hired by Clementine after the former king and queen died.

A little bit longer ay nakarating na ako sa harap ng malaking gate. Everyone look at me, Nikostratos took a gaze on me. I don't know but I get stock by those glances.

"Who are you?"

"I'm sorry your grace, Its just a stranger. Hey nuissance, this is private mansion of Archinov. Guards, get her out of here." I suddenly raised my eyebrows, bakit hindi makilala ni Butler Mon ang inalagaan niya? Napairap ako ng hawakan ako ng marahas ng dalawang bantay.

"Get your hands off." pagbabanta ko sa dalawang bantay.

"Your grace!" I heard a cute voice. I saw the maid rushing towards me.

"What do you think you're doing to your grace kuya Vin and Val?"

My skin get irritated because of their hands, mukhang nagulat naman si Butler Mon at si Nikostratos. Hindi sila makapaniwala ngunit nabawi rin ng marealize nila ang kanilang pagkakamali. Napabitaw naman ang dalawang bantay at humingi ng paumanhin sa akin. Tumango lamang ako bilang tugon, bakas sa mga mata nilang akala nila'y matatanggal sila sa trabaho. I saw them on the book, Vin will be soon to be father. Magiging lugmok sa utang si Val dahil sa pagkakatanggal. Pumalpak kasi ang dalawa sa pinag-uutos ni Luna. But I won't let them get fired. Napatingin ako kay Nikostratos, yinuko ko ng bahagya ang aking ulo. Napasinghap naman ang lahat, hindi ito gawain ni Luna dahil bastos ito. Hindi siya yumuyuko o ginalang man lang ang Reyna at Hari ng dumalaw ito sa palasyo ng Harlika.

"Honored to be visited by your grace. Enjoy your stay here and do as you pleased. I have to deal with things, can you excuse me for a wile and wait a bit for me to entertain you?” I don't know but I learned the etiquette in an instance.

Ani ko na ikinagulat niya, ngunit narinig ko ang kanyang ngisi. Naramdaman ko ang mga kamay niya sa aking balikat, dahilan upang magpahabag sa aking sistema. Ihinarap niya ako sa kanya, halos magkarera ang puso ko ng magsalita ito.

I don't know when a strange feeling attack me, how can this perverted-guy have this side? I can't react, should I be angry because he call me a disreputable princess? Part of, he's right. I feel a vibration, he's angry. The atmosphere get dark. Its darker from before, he get my hands. He grab my wrist.

"I don't mind if you change your face or whatever. The land of Arctia will be mine if you continue to treat the people leaving here under your slavery because of your greed. You're still the disreputable greedy princess I know." He said, I didn't do anything Nikostratos. I won't do things that make this character disreputable. Binitawan niya ang aking kamay. Kami lamang ang narito dahil nag-uusap si Butler Mon at Butler ni Nikostratos. While Triz, the maid last midnight? Bumalik siya sa loob ng mansion. Ang alalay ni Nikostratos ay nasa likod ng butler niya. Val and Vin get back to their assigned place.  Muli kong binalik ang tingin ka Nikostatos, aaminin ko I'm a bit intimidated. He can burn me any time tho.
I didn't sign any papers to double the tax of Arctia's people. There are people behind this sabotage.

"Becareful your grace, you're stepping over my territory." Ani ko at binawi ang aking palapulsuhan mula sakanyang kamay.

"I don't care if you bite me here. Itigil mo ang pagpapahirap sa mga demi-humans. Or I'll be the first one to file a petition kicking you here and set you to cage?" Nangunot ako dahil sa mga sinabi nito, gutom ako at pagod ako. I have no time to argue with this perverted person. 

"Are you that confident because you bought my beloved people by paying their tax? Aren't you the same as me? Looking at those people as mercenery and appraisal benefit?" Hindi ko alam kung saan galing ang ideya na yon na bigla nalang lumabas sa bunganga ko. But i think its a mistake cause Nikostratos triggered with my words.

"If you want me to entertain you more, please enjoy the food for this morning and let me excuse myself first your grace. Its an embarass for me to welcome you with this attire." Ani ko at nilisan siya, baka kase sunogin niya ako bigla.

Sinalubong naman ako ni Triz at naaalang ginabayan ako patungo sa aking silid. "Sobrang nag-alala po ako sainyo Binibining Luna, nagkaroon po ng isang malaking paghahanap sainyo. kagabi may  misteryong nakaitim..." Medyo napahinto pa ito sa pagdaldal at napatingin sa aking kasuoton. "Hahhhhhhhhhhhh! Ikaw iyonnnnn!" Napatingin naman ako dito at itinapat ang aking hintuturo sa aking labi. "Shhh!"

Pumasok ako sa aking silid, pinaghanda naman ni Triz ang pampaligo ko. pumunta ako sa palikuran at nakitang may bath tub na nakahanda upang lubluban. Tinanggal ko ang aking tapis at nilublob ang aking katawan sa mabangong tubig.

"Pero bakit po kayo umalis kagabi?" Pagtatanong nito habang minamasahe ang anit ko na may sabon. Matanong din pala itong si triz, pero atleast she's comfortable with me now.

"I just want to walk around."

"Dapat ginising niyo po ako para makasama niyo ako." Ngumiti naman ako dito dahilan upang matigilan siya ng ilang segundo. 

"Thanks for your care Triz, but I notice that you're drowsy last night so I don't bother."

Nabigla ako ng umiyak ito sa harapan ko dahil lang sa sinabi kong iyon, sinubukan ko siyang patahanin ngunit niyakap lamang ako nito. Napabuntong hininga naman ako.

"Tahan na, nabasa ka tuloy."
