i was leaning on the railing at the end of the pier chilling.

i heard feet walking up on me and i didn't bother to turn around. a breeze blew past me. as the percent got next to me i knew who it was because i could smell their scent.

" how'd you know i was here" i asked them.

" i'm from the west side remember i got people " she chuckled.

" whatchu want kehlani" i said.

" just wanna talk" she said.

" the kiss shouldn't of happened you're are my lil sisters bestfriend and we're from two different sides of oak im one of the top dogs of here so i can't be doing that" i said.

" and i understand that completely, i do find you attractive but like you said i'm the alexis bestfriend who's your lil sister"

i let out a breath i didn't know i was holding.

" so we good now" she asked.

" we-"

somebody shook me and i opened my eyes to see my mother.

" i'm taking keem to school and going to work" she said kissing my cheek.

" alright i love you" i said.

" i love you too" she said walking away.

" bye y/n" my brother said running out the door.

" alexis" i yelled when door closed.

" what" she said appearing out the kitchen.

" why y'all not going" i asked.

" seniors don't have to go in today" she said.

" cool cool" i said getting up off the couch.

went upstairs and did my business and came back down.

" can we use your studio in the basement" my sister asked with kehlani behind her.

" go ahead lemme just set everything up" i said.

i went downstairs to see my old set up and smiled.

i walked to the panel and smiled.

" man the memories of this" i said turning everything on.

" she would spend hours in here to where my mom would have to drag her up the steps" i heard my sister say.

" has ma been cleaning this" i asked looking at lexi.

" yeah for whenever you came back you can start working again" she said.

" i wonder if my music is still up here and stuff" i said.

i opened the laptop and signed in and stuff.

i clicked the last song i was making and it started to play.

" that's right i never finished this" i chuckled.

i set everything up for them after that even giving them a hard drive that had unused beats on them.

" alright alexis i taught you how to use this you remember how" i asked.

" yeah i always came down here messing with it while you were gone" she said.

" ight the laptop has unused beats so go crazy" i said walking away from them.

i went upstairs and walked to the table to see a pile of papers.

" ma must be doing shredding" i said grabbing a water and walking away.

"ty dog when do you get out" i said hugging him.

" yesterday i wanted to spend time with the fam before i came to see you niggas" he said hugging me.

" look at you looking older and shi" he said as we pulled away.

" me look at you last time i remember you couldn't even grow a beard and now you have a full one" i said pulling on it.

we caught each other up about our experiences in jail and shit when the girls came back upstairs.

" y/n can we get some money to go to the store" alexis asked.

" yeah lexi here" i said pulling out some money and handing it to both of them.

" i'll pay you back" kehlani said.

" don't worry about it ma" i said waving them off.

she shook her head and my sister looked at them with a look. they walked out the door and jahron looked me.

" who's shawty with the finger tats" he asked.

" kehlani my sister's bestfriend"

" how old is she"

" 17 turning 18" i said.

" nice nice" he said nodding his head.

" anyways y/n you boo'd up or hoeing right now"

" y/n bro you gotta check out this Jamaican restaurant not to far from here" jahron said.

the girls came back in and we were bout to leave.

i seen jahron talking to kehlani and i shook my head then chuckled.

i ran upstairs into my old room and went to my dresser.

i pulled out a black t and took the t-shirt i had on off.

i walked downstairs with the shirt in my hand.

" y'all ready" i asked.

" yeah.. just think about that date" jahron said to kehlani then walked away.

the girls looked at me as i pulled out more money.

" this for y'all to eat if i'm not back in time" i said handing them 40 dollars.

" okay be safe sis" alexis said we hugged.

we pulled away and i looked at alexis who looked at kehlani. she was zoned completely out.

alexis shook her head and nudged them.

" yep be safe" she said shaking their head finally looking me in the eye.

i chuckled and pulled her into a hug. i felt her relax. i pulled away.

" alright you two no boys" i said walking away from them.

" can we just-"

i pulled out my gun and waved it in the air.

" no boys" alexis repeated.

" mhm" i hummed putting it back in my pants.

i walked out the door and made sure it was locked then left.
