The cold night breeze dried up my tears .I couldn't move .It felt like I had just lost my will to live .Like I had absolutely nothing to look forward to every time I woke up .I sat silently on the Eiffel Tower .Not caring what would happen to me next .
I couldn't believe it .The only person I thought I'd never lose just... left me .First it was mom ,then my father -not even caring if I existed .And now ...her .The love of my life just left me ,and... and I don't know what to do .I should have stopped her .I should have tried to reason with her .
My tears flowed past my searing cheeks ,not seeming to ever stop .I don't know how I could ever face her again .I closed my eyes ,trying to contain my heartbreak .This was all my fault .I should have been fine with us just being partners .But no .I had to have more .And now things will never be the same .
After a while ,I got up and decided that I should probably go back to the mansion .I can't stay out on the Eiffel Tower forever .If anything ,it just made me feel even worse being there .
I took out my staff to check what the time was ,but when I opened it ,I saw my lock screen of me and Ladybug .

I could feel the tears emerge from my eyes once again .
I heard a beep coming from my ring signaling that I only had one minute left .I was about to start heading home when I saw a familiar insect flapping towards me .
I gasped ."An akuma ?!"
Third POV
Chat tried to swat away the purple akuma with his staff but it ended up being merged with it .
"Memory ,I am Hawkmoth .That photo has destroyed the relationship with the girl you love ? Well I give you the power to wipe away any image from a person's mind .All I ask in return is that you give me Ladybug's miraculous ,including yours of course .You and Ladybug will be together again ,but in civilian form .Just like you wanted .Do we have a deal ?"
Chat Noir smirked ,as if he had his own plan up his sleeve ."Yes Hawkmoth ,perfect plan .We will both get what we desire .It is a win-win situation .Don't you think ?" he said ,before transforming .
Memory grinned devilishly as he looked over the city of Paris from the Eiffel Tower .Chat Noir's staff had turned into a tablet that had a list of all the people in Paris ,and their memories .Memory saw the power that Hawkmoth had given him as an opportunity .
"Perfect ," Memory said ,with an evil smirk .He then started running through the streets of Paris ,erasing anyone's memory of the photo .
~The next morning~
Marinette's POV
I woke up and still felt extremely numb from how much I cried last night .I could barely get out of my bed ,and I didn't want to .Unfortunately ,I had to get up at some point .My parents might think that I died or something .
I got out of my bed ,hesitantly ,opened my trapdoor and walked down the stairs .I found my parents sitting on the couch watching the news .I wanted to say good morning ,but they looked kinda zoned out .I made my way to the table in front of the TV and grabbed the remote .I was about to turn off the TV to get their attention but I stopped once I saw what was showing on the news .It was a new villain ! He looked awful similar .It kinda looked like ...
I gasped once I figured out who it was .I dropped the remote in shock .
"Ch-Chat Noir ?" I whispered .I could feel the guilt arise from the pit of my stomach .He got akumatised ?! This is all my fault ! I should have ended our relationship on better terms .I shouldn't have left him heartbroken .How could I be so careless !?
"Marinette sweetie ,are you okay ? Why are you crying ? " My father asked .
I slowly touched my cheeks and realized that some tears had escaped my eyes ."Papa !Turn up the volume ,please ! "I exclaimed .
My father raised a brow and hesitantly did as I told him .I walked closer to the TV to get a closer look .
"Don't be bemused ,it's just the news ! I'm Nadja Chamack ,here interviewing a new villain .Mr ...?"
"Memory ,my name is Memory . And I'd like to say a message to all the people of Paris .A picture was upload in the last couple of hours .All I would like to accomplish is to retrieve the photo from your memory and I'll be on my way ," Memory explained ,in a serious tone .
"Well that doesn't seem too bad ,Memory .But what is the picture you would like to retrieve ?No one will let you take just any of our memories ," Nadja said .
"Doesn't matter .It wasn't any of your memories to have ." Memory smirked and immediately glided his index finger across the tablet in his hand and a bright red and green light shined all around her .Once the light disappeared ,Nadja dropped onto the ground in a daze ,but she looked okay .
"See ,it's completely harmless ,you won't know the difference ,only that I would have gotten what I needed ," Memory said ,with an evil grin .
I gasped .The akuma must be in the tablet ! He has to be talking about the photo of me and him on the Eiffel Tower .Oh Kitty ,I'll save you ! Just hold on !
"What did Memory do to Miss Chamack ? And what did he mean by it wasn't our memory .Then why would we have the memory if it wasn't ours ?And who is Memory anyway ?" My mom bombarded me with tons of questions .
"It's Chat Noir , mom ,"I said seriously ,not wanting to get into details .
My mother gasped ."Oh no ! How is Ladybug going to defeat her own partner ? Will she ?," My mother asked with concern .
"Uhh ,I don't know .But Memory is just going to take one simple memory right ?So it can't be that bad ," I said with a sheepish smile ,trying to comfort my mother .
"I guess your right dear .But I'm sure Ladybug can handle this ," my mother said with a smile .
"I hope so ," I whispered . "What was that ?" My mother asked .
"Uhh ,I said I am going to my room .Gotta text Alya ," I said ,running up to my room and locking the door .Just incase my parents decided to check on me .
Tikki emerged from my pillow and made her way towards me ."Mari ,what's going on ? Are you feeling better ? "Tikki said .
I took a deep breathe ."Chat Noir got akumatised ," I put it simply .
"What ?" Tikki gasped ."What happened ?! "
"No time to explain ," I said ."TIKKI ,SPOTS ON ! "
I quickly jumped out of my window and started to search for where Memory had been .
"I'm coming Kitty ."
