Or they lose their friendship
If someone leaves you they leave you
Don't give them an opportunity to slither
Back into your life
You are not their parent
It is not your responsibility to look after them
Especially if it hurts or lowers your own self care
At some point you just need to
Walk away
You are not a punching bag
No one deserves or has the right to
EVER lay a finger on you
Even if they are struggling
