Dragon Girl x Reader Part 2 (deepening the friendship)

You've been staying with Nuri in her cave for a few days now. During that time, you've been learning more about each other. You've grown to trust the dragoness quite a bit.

Nuri: Y/N?
Y/N: Yeah? What's up?
Nuri: Thank you. I've had a better time these past couple of days than I've had in a long while.

You smile up at her.

Y/N: It's no problem! I enjoy this too! The hard rocky floor makes it kind of difficult to sleep at times, but your company more than makes up for that!
Nuri: You are very kind, but I still would like to repay you.
Y/N: You really don't need to, but if you really want to then who am I to refuse? What did you have in mind?
Nuri: Well, humans do not possess wings. You cannot fly. I was thinking that maybe I could let you ride on my back while I stretch my wings today.

You're suddenly extremely grateful that you aren't afraid of heights.

Y/N: I would love that! I've always wondered what it would be like to be able to fly.
Nuri: It's indescribable. I experience it almost daily and I never get tired of it.

Nuri lowers her body.

Nuri: Hop on.

You climb onto Nuri's back, careful not to hurt her at all. Not that that really matters. Dragon hide is tougher than steel.
After you're secure, Nuri exits the cave and spreads her wings. With one flap, the two of you are airborne. Nuri climbs higher and higher into the sky and you can feel excitement flooding your body. The wind whips your face, but you don't care. This is far too amazing of an experience.
Nuri levels out her flight path and glides through the atmosphere, occasionally flapping her wings to remain in the air. After a while, she begins to mix things up. Nothing too crazy, she doesn't want you to fall, but enough to clue you in that she's trying to show off. She maneuvers around the clouds, doing fancy twists and turns that make you smile. She swoops into a flock of birds, scattering them and causing you to laugh.
You were flying for around half an hour before Nuri took you back to the cave. Once back inside, you slid off her back and smiled at her.

Y/N: That was great!!

Nuri chuckles slightly.

Nuri: I had a feeling you'd enjoy it.

Nuri transforms into her humanoid appearance so she can be more on your level.
You give her a big hug and as you're about to pull away, you hesitate for just a moment. After you do let her go, you notice her face is slightly pink. You don't really think anything of it though.
