Karma Ali

"Karm," his voice rang throughout the house as the front door slammed shut."Are you ready baby, we have to be at the church in an hour."

I quickly took off the apron that I was wearing and dusted my hands over my dress. Today was not only baby Marco's christening, but it was also our six month anniversary.

I made a cake— or attempted to make a cake:

It was my first time ever touching the kitchen in the new home. Alessio practically forbade me from touching the kitchen after an incident that happened the last time.

Picking up the cake that the stand rested on, I held it in my hands and plastered a big smile on my face. When he entered the kitchen he looked up from his phone and laughed.

"Happy six months." I grinned excitedly as he walked over to me. He took the cake from my hands and picked me up. I squealed as he spun me around, my legs bent slightly as I placed my hands on his shoulders for stability.

"The best six months of my life," he murmured as he stared up at me, his eyes twinkling with happiness and love.

"They had better be. I didn't put up with a month of your lies for nothing." A pout formed on his face before he let out a low growl.

"You're never letting that go are you?" Alessio questioned as I nodded my head yes.

"Never," I whispered as I brushed my lips against his. He immediately moved forward and captured my lips.

We moved in-sync as we savored each other. His lips were soft and plump against mine as he slid his tongue into my mouth.

I giggled into the kiss, my hands moved from his shoulders to his cheeks as he wrapped my legs around he waist. He walked towards the kitchen counter and gently sat me on top of it.

For some reason we always find ourselves here.

"I love you," he pulled apart from me, his hands holding a strong grip on the back of my neck.

"I love you more," I whispered against his lips as he nibbled on my bottom lip. His hands gripped my thighs as he continued his actions.

Alessio's breath tickled against my skin as I wrapped my hands around his neck.

"Impossibile colombetta, impossibile."

(Impossible little dove, impossible.)

"Okay, okay. We have to go," I tap his shoulders causing him to pull away with a slight groan.

He picked me up off of the counter and once my feet touched the ground, he wrapped his hands around my waist. I covered the cake with a glass lid and slide it into the middle of the counter.
