authors note// y'all noticed that every ball kid is named after one they parents parents. like for example lonzo middle name 'anderson' is lavars dads name and liangelo's middle 'robert' is tinas dads name. then going generations down zoeys middle name 'christina' is a spin on tinas name if that makes sense. also apparently lavars middle name is chris so that's where the 'chris' in 'christina' came from probably. just a lil theory i came up with. but bruh who melo named after//

"melo i'm actually gonna cry. hurry up and get home please" i whined
"baby i said i'm 15 minutes away. calm" he spoke
"bro my water could break any minute and ur ass decided it was a good idea to leave the house this morning" i said
jhaylen was here and so was my mum
they flew in coz i'm gonna need them

"what he say?" jhay asked
"he's 15 minutes away. having me stressed and stuff" i said hearing the garage open and his loud ass car pull in
a few minutes later the garage closed and he walked in the house

this fkn liar
i swear he really wants me to go crazy
nigga wasn't even that far away

"yk i wanna kill you" i glared
"ik i'm sorry" he hugged and kissed me
he also kissed my stomach
"hey princess" he whispered

my mum and jhay awwed
"what's up tina" melo kissed her cheek
"what we tell u about calling her tina" me and jhay said at the same time laughing

melo weird and for calling his mum by her first name
he really only do that when he feeling goofy asl tho
surprised his ass hasn't gotten beat for that

"what's up cuh" he hugged jhaylen

4 hours later

i'm like a week overdue so these past few days have been stressful coz daddy's lil princess could come any day

i was laying down in bed while melo was in the bathroom brushing his teeth n shit when i felt the bed become wet

shit

"melo!" i called out
"i think my water broke" i said and in a matter of seconds i heard him come out the bathroom
he slipped on a shirt and coming over to me

he helped me to get comfy clothes on to go to the hospital and helped me to the car

jhay and my mum were gonna follow to the hospital and bring my hospital bag and all that stuff

"man i'm gonna miss being pregnant" i said and everyone laughed
"no you're not." they laugh
"what are u naming her?" my mum asked
"that's a secret" i smirked

i've been here for like 5 hours and 7cm dilated
it's gonna be a long day in here

as it got closer to me actually going into later doctors and nurses and stuff prepared the room making sure everything was good

i grew more scared of actually giving birth tho

10 cm dialated

melo was standing beside the bed helping me through it

" hold ur inner knees" the nurse directed me and i did as told
"i'll count to ten. take a deep breath in and bring ur chin to ur chest and push"

i start pushing
"1,2,3....10"
i exhale stopping

the second push came right after and that went alright
"i can see the head. she's got a lot of hair. do you wanna feel her head?" she asked comforting me

i brought my hand to feel
it was closer than i thought and i could feel all that hair

"push" the doctor directed again
this was my third push

"no stop." i cried
"i can't do this. it hurts" i cried exhaling
the head was close to coming out and i couldn't do it
it hurt too much

"yes u can. just one more big push mamas." melo said giving me multiple kisses
he let me hold his hand as i attempted to push again and this time i felt the head coming out

"good. one more time. gentle pushes" the doctor said and i did as told
they directed her shoulders out and i took one more push

she didn't cry-

they placed her in my arms and i had tears falling out of my eyes
she was the cutest and most calm baby ever

i was shocked she didn't cry

"have u got a name?" the nurse asked me as she gently cleans the baby off in my arms
"dad do u wanna cut the cord?" she asks receiving a yes from melo

after he cut the cord they took her to clean her up and have her measure n stuff

i was doing skin to skin with her
"hi baby" i kissed her forehead
"yk she looks just like me" melo smiled
"u just had to ruin it right?" i said causing J and momma to laugh

"you a calm baby huh" melo smiled as he was now holding her
he didn't cry and she loved being in peoples arms
"ayy ma if it makes h feel any better she got ur eyes and nose" he teases

he acting like he wasn't crying when he first held her
it was cute asl too
ik he gon be real protective and love that girl so much
a fathers daughter is precious
