BACKGROUND : felix ' s life is very similar to his sister ' s . he was unaccepted growing up , when his parents found out he had a crush on a boy in second grade . guess both parents didn ' t luck out on straight kids . and when he found out he ' d have to leave shadyside , the only home he ' s ever known , it crushed him . he'd be leaving kate , simon , deena , and everyone else in their group . he felt like he was betraying the only true family he ' d ever known , but he couldn ' t risk staying with his father any longer , so he left . no he didn ' t join the football team or anything special like his sister , he stayed as distant from everyone as possible . until one night , the night of the game , when sunnyvale and shadyside came together to memorialize heather and the other victims . that ' s when he knew his life would never be the same again .
