"so are we going to the party at Marks" I asked him and he nodded

"and the sleepover because you missed the last one" he said and I rolled my eyes

"I was going through something okay" I said and he laughed

"anyways do you wanna go now because Mark always lets us come early to just hang out" he said and I looked at my phone for the time

"are you driving" he nodded

"let's go love" he said and grabbed my hand

We walked downstairs and ran into his dad "Chenle are you leaving" he asked

"yeah dad I'm going to my friends like I do every weekend" Chenle said and his dad nodded

"have fun and be safe" his dad said before walking away

"he scares me" I said and Chenle laughed

"my dad's not scary he's just a man of few words" he said and I nodded

"come on you're so slow" he said pulling me

When we got to Marks house Renjun and Donghyuck were already there

"so you two made up" Donghyuck said and we both nodded

"thank god I thought it was going to take forever" Mark said and I rolled my eyes

"yeah well luckily they had me to push them in the right direction" Renjun said

"so what are you guys" Donghyuck asked

"and have you kissed yet" Mark added

"guys stop with the questions before I hit all of you" Chenle said

"okay rude" Mark said

"anyways moving on when is Jaemin getting here" Chenle asked

"he said he has to help his mum with something and that he'll be late" Donghyuck said

"yeah which is great for me since now I have to fifth wheel" Renjun said bitterly 

"bitch I've been fifth wheeling since I came into this group shut up" Chenle said and everyone laughed

Chenle walked away with Renjun bickering and Donghyuck walked away to follow them

"so back to the topic what are you two" Mark asked

"it's complicated" I said

"what do you mean complicated" he asked and  frowned

"we haven't really had that talk yet it" I said and he laughed

"you should before one of you gets confused and then it fucks up the entire relationship" he said

"what did that happen to you and Donghyuck" I asked and he shuddered

"let's just say if we talked earlier he wouldn't have something to hold over my head for the rest of my life" I laughed at his response

"Well I should probably have this talk soon" I said, I really didn't want anything to get messed up especially since we only just got on good terms again

"also if you guys do date if you ever break up you have to stay friends since you're in the same friend group and we don't choose sides" he said 

"okay I'm not even dating him yet and your already talking about me and him breaking up" he laughed

"I'm sorry okay let's not talk about it anymore" he said and I rolled my eyes

"Jisung" I heard Renjun yell from the other room

"you should probably go" Mark said and I nodded

"what's up Renjun" I said

"take Chenle away from me before I beat his ass" he said and I laughed

"okay Lele let's go I wouldn't want you to be hurt by this raging ball of anger" I said and he rolled his eyes

"your so dramatic" he said

"I'm dramatic" I said and he nodded

"I'm sorry who told me they hated me because they lost a game of uno" I said and he rolled his eyes

"fine we can both be dramatic then" he said and I laughed

"the party doesn't start for another three hours do you wanna go somewhere" he asked and I nodded

"okay I know the perfect place" he said and grabbed my hand

he dragged me outside and to the park he took me a few weeks ago when we had first met 

"so we're at your tree house again" I asked and he rolled his eyes

"just climb bitch" he said pushing me to the tree

I climbed up first and then waited for him "so what are we doing here then" I asked and he shrugged his shoulders

"we can just sit and talk and wait for the sun to set I guess" he said and I smiled at him

"why are you smiling at me" I rolled my eyes

"can't I smile now" I said and he hit my shoulder

"well now that we're alone why don't we talk about us" I said and he frowned

"what do you mean" he asked

"well I was talking with Mark and he said that we need to talk about us or something bad would happen" I said and he started laughing

"oh my god you don't know the story of him and Hyuck I'll tell you all about it later" he said and I nodded

"but yes we should talk about us" he said

"what are we" I asked

"I'm not sure" he responded

"I guess we're just two guys who like each other and want to date but aren't" he added

"well I guess that sums us up" I said and he laughed

"how about we go on a date on Sunday" I said and he smiled

"I think that would be a good start" he said

"so what would we call this then" I asked 

"how about we call it a pre date" he said and I laughed

"yeah that works" I said

I sat down next to him and leaned my head on his shoulder "aren't you just adorable Ji" he said and I rolled my eyes

"shut up idiot" I muttered and he laughed

We sat there for a few hours and talked like we used to, and when the sun started to go down we stopped talking and looked at the horizon

"the sky is beautiful isn't it" I said

"not as beautiful as you" he responded and I rolled my eyes

"well aren't you a cheesy fucker" I said and he laughed

"you love it" he said and I smiled

"I'll never admit to that" I said

"yeah I know" he said and kissed my forehead
