Breakfast was nothing special just a muffin and some water, it wasn't very filling but its all we get so we came really conplain. We had a little time till the game started so some of us started talking and just relaxing, i on the other hand and some others where being more cautious and where trying to stay focused, i especially was trying to figure out what the game will be, i knew it was marbles but what kind? There are so many games that are played with marbles so the possibilitys are endless!

The next game will begin shortly please follow the guards to the next game

"Shit..." i wisperd to myself

I followed the others to the same white room, the same room we entered before tug of war

The next game will be played in teams of two

Everyone started pairing up. I noticed that 011 and his wife weren't pairing up instead he went over to some guy, his wife went to another. I was looking around for a partner but most had already paired with eachover. . .then i noticed him, this old guy, player 001, he was sat alone on the stairs. I knew he wasn't gonna get picked anytime soon but if he wasn't i knew he'd be killed! So i went over to him

"Ehem"

"W-oh hello"

"Wanna be teammates?" I said, extending my arm to help him stand

"Sure" he smiled

I felt bad for him, someone his age should be resting not fighting for his life in some game. . .

We followed the guards into the hall, it was made to look like a small town, it looked familiar but i couldn't think of where ive seen it before

Todays game is marbles, you will choose what game you will play and collect the marbles from your respective guard. You will be playing against your partner

Me and 001 just looked at eachover, i felt my heart drop. I don't even know this guy but the thought of killing him felt wrong! I mean killing enyone is wrong but hes just a old defenseless man! The thought of him killing me wasnt even cross my mind.

"First person to have 20 marbles without useing violence wins the looser will me eliminated" the guard said, handing us two small bags of marble, each containing 10

"So what game shall we play?" 001 asked

"I dont know..."

"I know! Ever heard of (insert name of the game they played in the show cuzz i couldn't find what the name was :] )

"Yeah i know it"

"Great!" He seemed so happy, why?

"Ill go first" 001 said "even or odd?"

"Even." I watched as he turned his hand around to reveal two marbles, a sigh of relief escaped my mouth

"And what did you bet?"

"Two marbles" i replied, he handed me them and we continued the game. A few rounds later and i had about at four ish marbles. . .thats when reality hit.

"Even or odd?"

"Odd" i said, i almost forgot what we where playing, i was that lost In the guilt of knowing i might be the reason he dies. I turn round my hand and reveal the marbles

"One...two...three...four...." i counted. I lost.

"What did i say?" He asked

"W-what?"

"I forgotten, did you say odd or even?"

I suddenly got and idea

"...even" i lied. It wasnt right and i felt bad but i had to survive! And how bad could one lie be?i bet three marbles that isnt two bad

"One, two, three, three marbles!" The man said as he handed me the marbles "that leaves me with 12"

(Idk if i did the math right its like 1 in the morning xD)

As we continued the game i noticed 001 kept spaceing out and forgetting stuff witch even though i didn't want to i took advantage of. . .he was about down to 6 marbles now and i had about 14, the time was running out and 001 was nearly completely mentally gone! I was so close!

"C'mon we need to finish" i said

"Im bored can we play something else?"

"No. If we dont we die!"

He looked confused.

"....please, even or odd?"

"y'know i used to live here!" He suddenly got up and wandered of, i looked at the guard but they did nothing so i hurried of to find 001

"Sir! Please!" I started to panic as tge timer counted down

"It was right around here.."he mumbled

"YOU NEED TO FINISH THE GAME!" i yelled pining him to the wall, i could see the fear in his eyes "sir...im sorry"

"Fine ill play" he paused "all or nothing?"

"W-what?"

"We bet all the marbles we have"

"Okay..."

"Odd or even?" He said

"Even. . .?"

He turned his hand around and revealed two marbles, i felt tears forming, tears of relief, tears of sadness, tears of guilt.

"You won. . .!" He said looking at the guard as they got there gun ready

"Im sorry"

"I had fun" he smiled "even if you did cheat"

I was speechless! Did he kneel the hole time? Then why did he let me do it?

"127 you can go" the guard said motioning for me to leave, i turned to leave but something was stopping me. . .

"Go" 001 said

I didn't even know him but the guilt of being the reason he dies was to much. It should be me not him! Suddenly i noticed a guard coming towards me, they grabbed me by the wrist and led me to the exit

BANG!

Player 001 was eliminated

"Im sorry" the guard said

"D-Dae-Hyun?"

"Be quite!"

"Sorry"

"I should of told you"

"Its fine." It wasnt. "Whats the next game?" I aksed

"I cant say right now but I'll explain, meet in the bathrooms after dinner" and with that he left me with the other players
