Beyoncé's heart did nothing but break for the younger girl. She wished that someone, anyone could give her a second chance. A second chance to learn and prove herself worthy for the world, but the world was much too cruel and would never allow such a thing.

All her life she's been thrown out, so how could've she have known any better? Poor y/n just wanted love, that's all she was asking for and no one could provide it for her. Not even Beyoncé herself.

"She's a monster, don't you agree?" Beyoncé heard the familiar voice of one of her fellow guards, Henry. "I don't believe in monsters." She responded. Henry rolled his eyes, "of course you wouldn't agree. She's your ex." Beyoncé didn't say anything. She continued to look at the sleeping girl who seemed to be having a small nightmare. Oh, how she wished she could go and comfort her, tell her that everything was gonna be okay and no one was coming to get her.

"If you love her so much, why break up with her?" Henry asked, putting all his weight to one side of his body and crossing his arms over his chest. He looked at Beyoncé with a raised eyebrow, determined to hear her answer.

Henry didn't really like Beyonce, but he had to admit, the girl was very smart.

"Because not all love is made to be in a relationship. What we had was... different. She was different." Beyoncé paused, "on the outside she was a grown woman, but in the inside, she was nothing but a child wanting love and affection, desperately needing attention." She turned around but didn't make eye contact with Henry,. "With me being an officer, it was hard for me to give her all of that. No matter how much it hurt, I told her that we couldn't continue with what we had, and we have to end things before things get worse between us.

I told her that she can always come and visit on my off days, but ever since that day I broke up with her, she never came back. Earlier today was the first time I saw her in months. I was so disappointed when I saw that she was causing trouble, and even more disappointed with seeing much people she killed since our last time together."

Beyoncé sighed and looked back at y/n. "When she gets out of here, I'm planning on retiring and taking care of her. That's just how much I care about her, to make sure she doesn't repeat her steps."

"What if she never gets out of here? What if she dies or gets a longer sentence?" Beyoncé turned around and looked at Henry with a somewhat sarcastic smile. "Let's hope it never comes to that."

"Wake up, y/l/n. You've been sleeping since you got here." A bang on the bars of y/n's cell woke her from her ongoing sleep. She slowly opened her eyes to see a mean looking officer glaring at her.

"Meanie..." she muttered as she threw her legs over the bed and rubbed the sleep from her eyes.

The officer rolled his eyes, "whatever, y/l/n, hurry up. If you take too long, your dinner is going to get cold." Y/n rolled her eyes, "I rather starve than eat that shit you call food."
"You're lucky we're feeding you in the first place." The officer growled. "You're lucky we're feeding you in the first place," y/n mimicked, "I would be more lucky if I was de-"

"Now that's enough you two. I got it from here officer Jenkins." Beyoncé nodded at the officer. He looked between her and y/n before leaving, muttering things under his breath.

Y/n sprung up from her bed at the sight of Beyoncé, excited to see her. "Bey! Did you bring the key?" Beyoncé sighed, "y/n, we're not doing this again. You're going to do your time like a good girl would." Y/n frowned as tears began to form in her eyes, "not you too..."

"It's better if you just do your time. And if you do your time, then there may just be a surprise for you at the end." Beyoncé smiled as y/n's eyes widened in excitement. "A-A surprise?!" She gasped.

Beyoncé nodded, "yeah, a surprise. But in order to get this surprise, you have to do everything that the guards say. Think of it as a game, and all the other prisoners are your competition. Can you do that for me?" Y/n vigorously nodded her head. "Awesome. The game begins now."

Beyoncé unlocked y/n's jail cell and handcuffed her before leading her to the cafeteria.

Beyoncé knew that y/n was truly a child inside so putting serious situations in a game form would make her listen and obey.

No one knew how to make y/n listen except for Beyoncé. It took time and patience when it came to y/n (just like it would for a child), which was something most people didn't have. When they see y/n, they think of her as a monster, scary and out of her mind, but truth be told, the girl just needed some love and attention.

Something that Beyoncé was definitely going to give her now.
