🐙 Crossmare 🐄 Pt 1

NO ONE POV:

The fight between the star sanses and the gang raged on

Killer and Dust on Blue, Error and Horror on Ink while Dream fought Cross and Nightmare

Cross dodged another arrow while keeping an eye on Nightmare who was beside him, just in case

Nightmare was doing the same but was distracted when Dream suddenly let out a yell of anger before he suddenly turned his bow into a staff and swiftly wacked Nightmare on the side of the skull

The goopy skelton fell to the floor with a giant crack on the side of his skull as he winced when Dream grabbed him by the shirt

"Nightmare-" Cross called out before he watched as Dream turned towards him with an insane look in his eye before he suddenly teleported infront of Cross and grabbed him by the shirt

Nightmare was able to get himself up to his knees as he stared in shock at the sight before him

Dream was currently holding a weak, bruised Cross at the edge of the cliff infront of him while Dream was looking at Nightmare with an emotionless expression

"Dream, don't..." Nightmare called out to the other as he tried to get up and failed when dizzyness washed over him

Dream continued to stare eith lifeless sockets as he called out to the other "You made me do this, Nightmare"

"Dream please! Don't hurt him for something i did to you!" Nightmare begged

The positive skeleton hesitated as he looked into nightmares sockets

Cross struggled slightly and looked towards Nightmare with scared sockets.

Dream seemed to come back to reality as he realised what he was actually doing and his pupils widened in shock "Cross im so sorry! I don't know what got over me!" Dream exclaimed as he let go of Cross

However, the cliff where the two stood had begun to crack and the two soon realised this

The rest of the gang had stopped fighting when they saw the cliff begin to crack and they were all now standing where nightmare was while Error was helping him up since he had recovered

Suddenly, the ledge gave way and began to crumble as Dream and Cross tried to stable themselves

Within the blink of an eye Error sent out his strings and caught Dream before he could fall but he wasnt able to catch Cross aswell

As Cross was about to fall, nightmare suddenly used the rest of his power to teleport to Cross and push him to safety

"Nightmare!" Dust, Horror and Killer yelled just as the ledge was inches away from completely gaving way and Nightmare was about to fall

Cross quickly reached forward and grabbed Nightmares hand, but the ledge was on life support at this point so who knows how long it will last

Cross was laying on his stomach with his arm over the ledge holding on to Nightmares hand as he hung above the void

"It'll be okay Nightmare, just hang on!" Cross tried to reassure the other as he felt the ground beneath him grumble more in protest

The others knew it was too dangerous to go over to help so instead, Error and Ink combined their attacks so errors strings were tied down firmly to the ground by all the others attacks and inks paint chains were attached to a nearby tree so the bones would have less chance breaking

Meanwhile, Nightmare was looking at Cross with sad eye sockets while he smiled sadly at the other

"Cross, you need to let me go" Nightmare calmly said to Cross who shook his head in protest

"No! I-i won't let you go! Please Night just let me-"

"Cross, the ledge is breaking and i won't let you get killed" Nightmare interupted the other who just closed their sockets as purple tears began running down his cheeks

Nightmare smiled "Cross its ok, just let me go-"

"WHAT ABOUT YOU?!" Cross yelled as he opened his teary sockets to face the other

Nightmare was shocked at cross sudden outburst as he continued

"YOUR ALWAYS DOING WHATS BEST FOR ME AND THE OTHERS BUT YOU NEVER THINK ABOUT YOURSELF!!"

Cross continued to cry as he looked st nightmare pleadingly "You don't think your worth it, i know that, but i KNOW your worth it and i won't let you die for nothing!"

Nightmare teared up slightly before he chuckled sadly "But i won't die for nothing..."

Nightmare smiled through his tears as he looked cross in the sockets

"Ide rather die for you, then die at all" was all Nightmare said before he let go of Cross hand and let himself fall into the void

"NIGHTMARE NO!!" Cross screamed out before he was pulled back to the others by inks paint just as the ledge gave in and fell

After the ledge was gone, error ran forward with his strings wrapped around his waist that was attached to the bones as he jumped off the remains of the ledge and into the void below

The others watched the strings nervously as they waited for error to come back

"Whats taking so long?!" Killer asked worriedly as he began pacing back and forth

"We have to wait for the signal, if we pullhim up before that then nightmare will get lost in the void darkness forever" Ink explained as he looked worriedly at Cross who hadn't said a word while horror tried to comfort him but he just continued to silently cry a permanent stream of tears

Suddenly, Cross pounced on Dream and tried to stab him with his red knife before Horror and Dust had to pull him away

"Cross calm down!" Horror tried to reason to Cross who just struggled more

"This is your fault! Nightmare could die now because of you! If nightmare IS dead I'll take the pleasure of killing you aswell!" Cross yelled to Dream who hid behind Ink in fear since Cross was pretty scary like this

"Im sorry ok! I didn't know what i was doing until it was too late!" Dream tried to explain to Cross who only scoffed in annoyance

"Uh guys!" Blue called but no one heard him over their arguing

"Guys!"

No answer

"GUYS" Blue yelled in annoyamce to the others who finally looked up at him to see he was pointing at the string just as they were given the signal from error
