Chapter 29

Lisa's Pov.

I decided to go home after i finish my meeting at the University . I park my car when I noticed that there were other cars parked outside our house only then i remember that my parents prepared a small gathering for their close friends and this is what annoys me.

I was walking towards the garden when I noticed a little girl who was being fed by what I thought was her nanny.

She looked at me with soft smile that made me smile back at her.

I continued walking until I saw my Mother talking to a woman at her age. I approached her and kissed her on the cheek and I smiled at the woman she was talking to.

"Lisa . Come I want to introduce you to Amanda. She is my close friend and her late husband is also a close friend of your father. Amanda this is Lisa my one and only daughter that i was talking to you."
My mother introduces us to each other .

I bow down to show respect to her.

"Ohhhh you're now Lisa huh." She chuckled . "Hi!! I know you don't remember me anymore because I last saw you you were just two years old and your name is Leo ."
She smile, I smiled at back at her.

Yeah right, I forgot my name was Leo, they just changed it to Lalisa when I was 9 years old because they found out I'm a girl blessed to have male genitalia.

"nice to meet you auntie."
I replied awkwardly.

"Mom whose daughter is eating inside."
I asked my mother.

"oh i think it's Leah she's my granddaughter, why did you ask?"
She asked me.

"oh okay , nothing i just find her cute and adorable. by the way auntie i really love to talk to you but i'm so tired right now , i need to rest. I still have a client to meet tomorrow. auntie Amanda, I'm sorry."

As I was on my way to my room I pass by to little girl again, I didn't know why it feels like someone pulling me closer to her.

I approached her and bent down to match her height.

"hello you're beautiful and cute, what's your name?"
I asked her in my baby voice.

I don't know why I did that but it seemed like natural for my baby voice to come out of my mouth when I talked to her.

She looked at me and smile.

"hello!!! and thank you . My mom also said that I'm beautiful, and I'm Laleah what is your name?"
She replied softly, I smiled at her I didn't know that I loved kids until I saw this cute little girl.

"ohh your name sounds like mine I'm Lalisa but you can call me auntie Lisa."
I reply to her .

"I want you to be my friend, I can play with you?"

My heart and mind want to play with her but my body really wants to rest.

"baby i love to play with you but i'm tired now, but i promise when we meet again i'll play with you. Is that ok?"
I was squeezing her cheeks.

"You promised that."
She said, I am very fond of her .

"I promise, can I hug you?"
I asked her, she smiled at me and wrapped her little hand around my neck.

I don't know but it feels good to feel her hug. " Good night auntie Lisa."

"Thank baby, good night ."
I told her and I stood up and fixed her hair before I left.

When I came to the room, I immediately took a bath and changed into pajamas because my body wanted to rest.

I lay down on my bed I remembered that I imagined Jennie was at University earlier. I shook her out of my thoughts then , the image of the little girl I talked to earlier flash. She is so cute, I also noticed that we looked the same, not totally the same, I think she will be more beautiful than me when she grow up. It's just weird when she smile at me, it was like I was looking into the small version of myself .

After I got the deal with the new investor I decided to go to the mall to find a gift for my mother's upcoming birthday.

While I was walking around the mall I suddenly met Somi , she's holding a baby and she was struggling carrying shopping bags that he didn't even notice me.

"hey need a hand"
I asked her.

"Oh God!! Lisa is that you? thank you you're here. Can you help me with my purchases my baby fell asleep ,I had a hard time carrying them. Even up to the entrance of the mall only , I'll just wait for my husband there . "
She said, I smiled at her and took the shoping bags and I accompanied her out of the mall.

" You're married?"
I asked her as we walked, she smiled at me.

"actually it was a arranged marriage, it was hard at first, but we fall for each other , we have two kids now the other one is 3 years old boy and this is our youngest. how about you ? Did you and Jennie end up together?."
She asked. I forced a smile at her.

So her parents let her to marry someone else because I didn't agree to get married to her, if it wasn't for that stupid arrange marriage , me and Jennie would have been happy now, of course i didn't say that to her instead i force myself to smile.

"We've been separated for four years"
I casually said.

"ohh sorry to hear that.I just thought !! you know . it's obvious that you love each other very much."
She mumbled.

"No need to say sorry Somi, it's okay ."
We reached the entrance of the mall and it was right that her husband came, i say goodbye to her and went back inside the mall.

I will admit I felt envied because she was happy but me? I feel miserable.

Jennie's Pov.

When I got home I immediately run into my room and shed my tears that I had prevented from coming out since earlier.

I thought I felt the fullest pain when Lisa left me, but No, because I feel it now .

I felt like i have been deceived and betrayed for a very long time.

I'm hurting not only for myself but also for my daughter . I felt like she didn't feel the love she deserved from Lisa.

I saw her. She's with her Somi at the Mall with with their baby, felt like my heart crush into piece when i witness how happy they are. I tried to calm myself when I heard my bedroom door open.

"Mommy, I'm done getting dressed. Are we leaving?"
my daughter asked.

I first made sure there were no more tears in my eyes before I faced her.

"Yes baby but Mommy will change clothes first, Mama chu and Mama Rose are excited to see you. are you excited to?"
I asked her.

I saw that she frowned as she looked at me.

"mommy are you Okay, are you crying?"
I fixed her hair and kissed her on the cheek.

"mommy is ok, i love you baby, go to your nanny and i'll just change my clothes on."
I told her and she nodded before she left my room.

It's ok Jennie, you handle four years without her, I know you can handle this. I said to myself .
