It's been a week since me and Amelia's little scene and to be honest things haven't changed.Amelia still takes Charlie and I still go to work.But lately Charlie has been getting nightmares and whenever he wakes up he's been wanting Amelia.
I told Amelia yesterday and she's coming over today so we can talk things out.
I heard the doorbell ring and then I heard Charlie screaming and running with an airplane in his hand "Charlie hey calm down"I said to him walking to the door.
•AMELIA'S POV•
I strolled up to Jakes door of his mansion.I rang the doorbell and waited for him to answer.As I turned around to look down at his audi the door opened and a sexy looking Jake wearing just sweatpants and a top in his hand.Yes in his hand not on him "hey Amelia,come in"I smiled and replie "thanks"
"Sorry about the mess"he said picking up some of Charlie's toys.I giggled "ha it's okay".This is the first time I've ever been in his house actually and being truly honest not all like "oh he's rich and his house is amazing" but being truly honest his house is amazing.He gestured me to sit on the stool on front of the island so I did.
•JAKES POV•
"So I just wanted to talk about Charlie because it has not been good"she frowned "well what's wrong is he sick?"I chuckled in a serious way "no it's nothing ordinary,so it started last week and he woke up around 4:00.am and was crying really bad and I couldn't calm him down for around an hour and he just kept calling your name and saying he wants you but it's been going on ever since and he just keeps waking up and I'm not getting any sleep"
She turned around and looked at Charlie lying on the couch half way asleep and turned and looked at me "oh the poor thing,what are we going to do?"I looked over at Charlie and looked back at her "well you can't take him to your house because obviously you have so much work and plus I couldn't go a morning without waking up to see him"she put her hand to her chin and then said to me "ahha!Okay so why don't I,now if your okay with this,I can stay in your house for a while cause I'm sure there's another bedroom in your house that I can stay in and then if Charlie wants to stay with me at night he can"I smiled at the taught of having Amelia in my house "that would be perfect and a matter of fact I have a bedroom with a queen size bed and an an-suite"Amelia smiled "that would be perfect,so I'll start packing my stuff tonight?"Jake smiled "sure I'll have someone bring your stuff over tomrrow,oh actually and could you bring Charlie home with you because I have a late night shift"
Amelia chuckled "sure,your a very hard worker"Jake winked at her,and added a reply "you know me"
It's was the next day and it was the end of school Charlie was sitting down at the table adjacent Amelia's not so neat desk.He was colouring a picture when Amelia peered her head over the right side of the desk.Looking at the two year olds scribbles she could make out what Charlie had drawn.A picture of Amelia,Charlie and Jake all on front of a few lines which made out a house.She was puzzled but smiled at the same time.
Later that day Amelia finished stacking some papers and grabbed her bag and picked a sleeping Charlie up from the cot.He layed his tiny little head on her shoulder.Amelia smiled and locked up the school and strolled over towards her car strapping the now sleeping half drooling Charlie into the car Amelia smiled looking at his cute little blond-ish brown-ish hair on his head and how similar him and Jake looked.
Just as she arrived at Jakes house Amelia saw jake pulling the tie from around his neck and unbuttoning the first few buttons of his white shirt while standing next to his Audi.She turned her head towards the back seat to see a very sleepy Charlie.
"So-"jake said walking in behind her putting his car keys on the extravagant table that Amelia adored when she first layed eyes on it "-I made a few phone calls and the moving company are able to move your things in today if your not to tired?"Amelia smiled "oh jake really you didn't have too but yes that would be great!" She carefully walked into the living room and laid Charlie down on the couch.Jake took in the beauty of her wonderful tanned olive skin as she lay Charlie down on the couch.
•Jakes POV•
"So I hope your not uncomfortable or anything.I want you to make yourself feel at home as much as possible.I also wanted to thank you so much for doing this."she gave me a smile.
"Oh Jake don't worry it's not a problem.Your house it's beautiful by the way"I should show her to her room I thought "oh would you like to see your room"
"Sure"she replied
•Amelia's POV•
After Jake showed me my room I got a shower.As I was squeezing the water out of my hair I remembered that I don't have clothes.Oh god I panicked.What should I do now I thought.
"Jake!" I shouted/whispered "yes"Jake shouted back in response "I have a situation"I yelled.I heard footsteps getting closer to my room.
"And what situation would that be?"he asked.I could picture the smirk on his face.He knew! "Well I have no clothes and well......well"
"Ah ha ha!Thats your situation.Well I have the exact solution to your 'situation' as you would put it.Wait there"oh come on Jake I thought.I then heard footsteps approach my room again knock knock knock "open up" I heard Jake say from the other side of the bathroom door.
I wrapped the towel around me as I tight as I could.I opened the door ever so slightly and grabbed the clothes off Jake "your welcome my love" I heard him say.
My love? That was a new one.I looked at the clothes Jake gave me.All it was was a white shirt and boxers ugh!.Of course I thought.He expected me to walk around in this.Well that's all I've got I thought.
I put it on and let my hair down.It was warm in this room I thought.Very warm.
It was 7:30pm and I was sitting on 'my' bed correcting sheets and stuff on my laptop when I heard a knock on the door "come in"I said.
When the door opened I saw Jake in sweatpants and a very tight top which showed all his perfect muscles,with Charlie on his arm.
"Hey"he said.I smiled "hi" "Charlie was wandering if you could read him a story.I tried telling him it was your first night to let you settle in but he wasn't having it"
I gave a small laugh "haha it's okay does Charlie wanna sleep here tonight?" "Yeh yeh yeh" Charlie clapped his hands together.
"Only on one condition Charlie!"Jake said "if you go to sleep and be a good boy!"Charlie gave him a confused look "obviussy You go to bed to sleep Dad"
Jake gave Charlie a smirk "you cheeky monster,you know what I meant!".I cleared off all the work on my bed and pulled over the covers.Jake placed Charlie in beside me and went to give him a kiss on the head "daddy?"Charlie asked "could you stay wi me?"Jake went wide eyed so did I.
I was kind of hoping he'd say yes,but at the same time I was kind of like no!
"Well bud I've gotta go to my bed"Jake replied "pwease daddy!"Charlie cried "well if it's okay with Amelia I'll stay"
Oh no I hate when people put me on the spot.Just say yes Amelia just say yes!
Oh shut up I mentally said to myself.
"Yeh sure I don't mind"I said.Oh no Amelia why did you say that.Jake came around the opposite side of the bed and sat beside me.Oh god I'm in for a long night I thought
