Driving To A Nearby Chinese Food Place For Dinner
2nd POV
Y/N = Your Name
L/N = Last Name

Today has been the absolute worst day of your LIFE. I mean, it's getting worse everyday. Dealing with the customers can be a handful, along with the workers gossiping about something stupid, or the boss giving her shit. Finally, the day ended and you were hungry as hell. You didn't get a lunch break today, so you decided to go to the plaza and get some Chinese food, just thinking about it made you almost drool.

As you arrived to the plaza, you parked your car and got out. It felt so good to be walking around at night. Everyone was out and about, looking happy, smiling, laughing, and holding hands. Just the thought made you smile. Sure, you wanted a relationship, but it wasn't really your thing. You're doing just fine on your own, right? You came back to reality and started heading towards the Chinese food place. You walked in and the cashier looked up.
"Hey! There you are!"
The small Chinese elderly woman greeted with a smile.
"Hello Ting, how are you?"
You asked, while the elderly Chinese woman hugged you tightly. The only reason she ever does this is mostly cause you reminded her of her daughter/son, who never visits very often. You two bonded and have been good friends.
"Oh don't worry 'bout me dear, I'm doing just fine. Where have you been? I haven't seen in a while!"
Her English isn't perfect, but you honestly didn't mind.
"Yeah, sorry about that. My work schedule is pretty full all the time. I've been living off of ramen noodles and spam this whole time."
"That no good for you!"
She said while she yelled something in Chinese behind her, talking to the chef's. Ting was doing pretty well for herself.
"Oh honey, you got so skinny! You need food in stomach!"
She pointed out as she got behind the counter.
"Your food will be out in 10 minutes."
"Okay, I'll go look around for a bit, I'll be back."
You replied as you exited the food restaurant and started walking around. You let out a deep sigh and started wandering around, looking in the shops. You stopped in your steps when you saw a familiar looking blonde on the poster board cut out in front of GameStop. You took a step forward and made your way there, when you did, you couldn't believe your eyes. The Legend Of Zelda Breath Of The Wild poster board cut out of Link stood before you. It stood about 180 cm, who stood beside him was Princess Zelda, about 175 cm tall. (Yes, I'm making them a bit taller than usual, fight meh.)
They looked pretty cool, not gonna lie. Link stood high and mighty, holding his shield in his left arm and held his Master Sword in his right hand, though they look a bit different like the other games, they still looked pretty cool. Zelda on the other hand is holding some kind of device, with an excited yet curious look on her face. To be honest, you haven't played the game for quite a while, maybe they have it for the PS4? Who knows?
With that question in your mind, you headed in the store and looked around. A boy who leaned on the counter, playing on his phone looks up and back down on his phone.
"Good evening. If you need any help, let me know."
The guy replied with a slightly boring face. You rolled your eyes and walked over to the counter.
"I could use some help, I suppose."
The guy looked up and let out a small huff before putting away his phone, standing up straight.
"What can I help you with?"
"Well... I was wondering if the Legend Of Zelda Breath Of The Wild came in any other console instead of the.. Nintendo Switch, is it called?"
"No ma'am, we only have it in the Nintendo Switch or the Nintendo Switch Lite."
"What's... the difference?"
"The regular Nintendo Switch Lite is only a handheld gaming device and the regular Nintendo Switch is a handheld gaming device also, but you can remove the controllers and use it like the Wii, you can also hook it up to the TV and play on there."
"Ah, how much are they both?"
The guy looked on the screen of the cashier.
"For the Lite, it's gonna be about.. 200 dollars."
"Holy shit.. W-What about the other one!?"
"Hmm... About 300 dollars."
"...."
"What? You didn't expect them to be cheap, did you? Ever since that Breath Of The Wild came out, everyone's buying the game. Which is about 60 dollars."
You let out a groan and thought about it.
"And we kinda sold out on all the games, you're gonna have to wait for about.. 2 weeks."
"2 weeks!?"
Your head slightly hung. Maybe it wasn't worth getting after all...
"Yup, everyone bought out the game pretty quick. Although... nah."
Your head quickly perked up when you heard him speak.
"Although what?? Tell me!"
"Hold your horses dude, we do have one copy left, but..."
"But..?"
"Here's the thing, a man who was a huge fan of Legend Of Zelda bought the new game and everything. I mean, the game came out today and he came back in looking.. frightened. The man said he wanted his money back and I asked him what was wrong, instead he didn't answer and took his money and left."
"What was wrong with it?"
The guy shrugged and looked under the desk, bringing out the game.
"I played it and there wasn't anything wrong with it. It's still in perfect condition, but I don't know if you-"
"I'll take it."
"What-"
"I'll seriously take it off your hands dude."
"I don't know, like I said, I haven't found anything yet-"
"C'mon man, I'll take it! I can handle a little glitch or some weird shit that I'll see."
You spoke and the guy looked hesitant.
"I'll buy it off of you for 30 dollars and I'll buy a Nintendo Switch, I'll even leave a good review."
The guy thought about it for a good minute until he let out a sigh.
"Fine. I'll ring you up. What kind of Nintendo did you want?"
"Hmm... the one that hooks up to your TV."
"Alright, I'll go get one in the back."
With that, the guy walked off in the back and left you with the game on the counter. You lifted it up and took a good look at it. It seemed perfectly fine, but you wondered, was it some stupid prank? Maybe that creepypasta story is real, and that's why he returned it? Then again, it was only for Majora's Mask back in the 2000's or so. That story made you shiver at the thought. 'I swear, if I get a haunted game, I'm haunting the developer.' You thought jokingly while hearing the guy come back with a perfectly new Nintendo Switch box.
"Alright, here's the Nintendo, and the game. The cost will be.. 330 dollars."
"Welp, there goes my rent."
You said jokingly before handing him your debit card. He let out a small chuckle before swiping the card.
"Do you have a membership with us?"
"I used to, but I'm pretty sure it's expired by now."
"Would you like to renew it or make a new one?"
"Mm.. Not today, I'll think about it. I haven't gotten a game in a while."
"Really? What was the last game you played?"
"Believe it or not, I got Legend Of Zelda Skyward Sword from years ago. That was probably the last game I ever played."
"Holy shit, that was back in 2011."
You let out a small laugh.
"Yeah, like I said, it's been quite a while since I've played that game... Anyway, thank you for helping me. I've been needing a new console for a while. See ya soon."
"Come back anytime."
You nodded and grabbed the bag with the Nintendo Switch and the game, then heading back towards the Chinese food place.
