"Engaged?"

Those world's shattered my heart into millions of pieces.

My world stopped and I looked towards taehyung and saw that he was shocked as well.

Our eyes met and we spoke through our eyes.

It was completely written in his eyes that he was not aware of this.

He held my hands under the table indicating me to believe him and stay.

Tae POV

"Engaged?"

I heard the words of my mother and I was stunned.

I didn't know about this, I looked towards dad and he was shocked as well.

I understood that mom invited us here so she could tell us this news so that yn will break up with me.

I looked towards y/n and she was already looking at me, trying to find an answer in my eyes.

Sadness was all over her face, I could see that she wanted to run away but I held her hand before she could stand up.

I wanted her to stay, so I can explain.

"Taehyung aren't you happy," my mom asked

Before I could speak she spoke to y/n.

"Taehyung is already going to get engaged so you should leave him and flirt with some other men." She said

"Mom," I said loud indicating her to stop this but she again spoke

" Oh Taehyung, I have seen many girls like her, trying to be innocent but are a gold digger. They only need money. She's a slut. " She said with a disgusted face

That was it, she pulled the last string of my patience.

" Mom! " I said as I banged the table and stood up.

"Dad, we'll take our leave, " I said as I grabbed y/n's hand and walked out of the house.

He pulled y/n outside and took her to a nearby park. So they could relax and talk.

"Y/N, listen to me! I swear I didn't know about the engagement" Taehyung said to y/n.

Y/n smiled and spoke

"I know, I could feel it, "She said as she smiled a little to show taehyung that she was okay.

But she was not.

Tae POV

I could see from her eyes that she was not okay but was strong enough to hold her feelings.

"Y/N, I only love you, and only you have the right to be my life partner," I said

She hugged me

"Does your mom hate me that much ?" She said

"No babe, she just wants me to marry a rich girl," I said

"Hmm! " She said, I could feel that she was still sad

I looked into her eyes and said

" Y/N, no matter how many times my mother try to separate us, you won't break up with me because of her," I said

His words calmed me so much.

I was so afraid to lose him, knowing that I was not rich and his mother could separate us.
