(( correct me if i'm wrong, but in my point of view Kris is trying to gain control back from us, the player, since we're the ones controlling them throughout the game. Like when Kris rips out their soul we can't control them anymore and they do whatever until they put their soul back in, allowing us to freely control them again. In my view, Chara has nothing to do with Deltarune as Frisk has nothing to do Deltarune. However the idea of Chara coming back to wreak havoc by using Kris as their puppet is a nice theory! ))
