Lia and I haven't communicated with each other since last night. We were just arguing the other day, and now we're officially dating.

I mean, this is what I wanted, so there's no need for me to avoid her.

"I should just go over there and talk to her," I repeated for the third time this morning. I let out a huge sigh, before falling back on my bed.

Suddenly, there was an awkward knock on my door. "Come in," I yelled and sat up. Slowly as possible, the door opened, revealing barely an inch of the person standing in front of it.

She was standing there, all nervous, just peeking inside.

"You don't have to knock," I said quietly. "You can come in."

Lia walked into my room, shut the door behind her, and sat down on the bed behind me.

"Hi," I said nervously.

"Hi," She responded in a whisper tone. I turned towards her, I noticed she was still in her pajamas, but her face had some light makeup on. I smiled to myself. She's always trying to look her best.

"Is there something wrong?" I asked.

"No," she shook her head. "I just wanted to see you. How was your morning?"

"Good." I nodded. "What about yours?"

"Fine."

The tension in the room grew. "Why is this so weird?" I scratched the back of my neck.

"I don't know. It just is?"

"Well, let's stop. We've been friends, for years if anything that shows that we're even more compatible with each other. There shouldn't be any awkwardness between us."

"Yeah." She whispered.

For the first time today, we finally looked at each other. Her face started to heat up and I could only smile. I'm actually making her nervous.

"I've got something for you." She handed me the pink envelope she was holding. "Just don't read it till I leave."

"Why can't I read it now?"
