VIII. When Love Begins

Jungkook's POV

After I dropped off Lisa, I went straight to Bora Live Events where our rehearsals were held.  Once I got there, all the members were there already.

"Hey, JK! Where's Lisa?" Yoongi hyung asked.

"Dropped her off at a hotel."

"Oh, why didn't you just bring her to Jenny's place. I'm sure they won't mind." Jin hyung said.

"They won't, I would." I chuckled at the thought of her staying with me. 

My hyungs looked so surprised by my statement.

"Anything bad happened?" Jimin hyung asked.

I couldn't stop but chuckle again, because finally, I've realized what has been so wrong in my life.
"She happened."

"I'm not following. why do you seem amused?" Jimin hyung asked with eyebrows raised.

"I'm breaking up with her hyungs." I blurted out.

I looked at my hyungs' faces and I was expecting them to ask why or tell me to reconsider my decision, but I was so wrong.

"FINALLY!" Jin hyung said,  "I was praying for this day to come."

"It's about time!" Yoongi hyung said.

"I never liked that bitch." Jimin hyung said.

"She takes all my sunshine away when I see her face." J-hope hyung added.

"HYUNGS! You felt like that the entire time I was with her and didn't say anything?!" I said with utter frustration.

"Jk, we didn't say anything because we would always support your decision, whether we agree with it or not. Plus, I kinda knew you'd eventually see her for who she really is and that you'd come around." Jimin hyung said.

"What if i was too oblivious to see it? You guys are my hyungs.  You're supposed to guide me." I said, pouting at all of them.

"Aish, this kid. You're old enough to decide on your own. See? You eventually figured it out. And among all of us, you were never the oblivious one." J-hope hyung said.

"I'm curious though, are you breaking up with her because of a certain someone?" Jimin hyung teased.

"No, hyung. I'm breaking up with her because of her actions. Taehyung isn't the cause of this break-up." I said without even thinking.

"SO, YOU LIKE TAEHYUNG?!" Jimin hyung said with a big smirk on his face.

"W-what?! I-I didn't say I like him."

Yoongi hyung made fun of me more, "Wha-wha-what's wi-with the stu-stuttering?" He said as the others burst out laughing.

I glared at all of them.

"Come on, we're wasting time here. Let's just start practicing."  I started warming up and was glad that my hyungs didn't say anything else anymore.  Though, I bet my face was red as a tomato.

We ended with rehearsals around 10:00 pm.  And as we were packing up, Jin hyung's mobile phone rang.

"Yes, Jenny? Oh, he's still here? Ok, no problem we will go get him and bring him home with us." I heard Jin hyung say.

"Did I hear you right, Taehyung's still here?" I asked.

"Yes, come on, let's pass by his office." Jin hyung said.

I couldn't wait to see him again as I badly wanted to continue our conversation from this morning.

"Okay, let's go guys! Come on!"

"Excited much?" Jimin hyung teased.

I just glared at my hyung and dragged him by his wrist.

We went up to Taehyung's floor and as we were outside his room, I could hear sobbing coming from Taehyung's room.  I had a sinking feeling inside me so I didn't waste any more time.  I rushed to open the door and what I saw made my blood boil -- Taehyung crying, pinned on the wall by Min-ho who was grinding on him and kissing him forcefully.

I couldn't suppress my anger as I ran towards them, pulled Min-ho off Taehyung and punched him endlessly. 

"How dare you fucking touch him. I'm going to fucking kill you!" I just kept on punching him not even realizing that he was already unconscious.

The next thing I knew was someone pulling me off him.

"Let me go!  I'm going to fucking kill that son of a bitch!" It took Yoongi hyung, J-Hope hyung and Jimin hyung to restrain me.

"Jungkook, stop it. Calm down.  He's passed out already." 

I calmed myself down and then looked towards Taehyung who was sobbing uncontrollably, being cradled by Jin hyung. I felt my heart break and I couldn't stop my tears from falling. I slowly walked towards them and knelt down beside them.

I couldn't stop crying and all I wanted to do was to hold him in my arms and kiss his tears away.

"Taehyung?" 

He looked at me and we both stared at each other for a few seconds until I saw him wiggle his way out of Jin hyung's embrace and jumped on me, causing me to fall back on my ass as he straddled me like a koala bear, with his arms on my neck and legs wrapped around my waist.

He kept on mumbling something and it took time for me to understand what he was saying in between sobs, "You're here. You saved me."

I hugged him tightly never wanting to let go.

"I told you I'll keep you safe, Taehyung. That's a promise."

Third Person POV

Namjoon didn't let Min-ho get away this time. They filed charges against him for assault and attempted rape.

In order for them to do so, Taehyung had to go through medical exam, where it involved the medicolegal expert to take photos of the multiple bite marks on his neck and skin. Jungkook was there and saw it all as Taehyung didn't want to let go of him. The memory of Min-ho came up in Jungkook's mind and it just made him mad all over again. Taehyung noticed this so he took Jungkook's hand and caressed it with his thumb.

"I'm alright, Jungkook." Taehyung said softly.

Jungkook forced a smile and touched Taehyung's cheek.

"You're so precious to me, Taehyung."

"I hope this is the last time you'd have to save me. Maybe next time I'd be the one saving you." Taehyung said, smiling at Jungkook.

You've already saved me Taehyung. I wouldn't have known how love really is if I hadn't met you...was what Jungkook wanted to tell him, but not yet. He has one thing to do first and he wants to start whatever they can have, the right way.
