"Ah! Father, can't you at least knock first?"
"Hehe, sorry about that. But you're dressed, so no harm done."
She huffed as the king walked up to her, his hand underneath her chin. "I'm sorry for the hasty arrangement, love. But remember: man or no man, I'm proud of you. You're not just a princess in title, but you've proved to truly be one."
Embarrassed, she said, "Uh, thanks, Father...I'd hug you, but I can't really move my arms in this thing."
"Ah. Gertrude! Whatever were you thinking? How can my Y/n dance in this thing?"
"My apologies, sir." She retook her measurements and began to adjust.
Y/n sighed, looking out into space, praying that Elliot would show up and that she would not have to marry a man she did not love.
