Smallness

Many people don’t like space
And it’s no wonder why
It’s a vast and empty place;
We’re sheltered by the sky

But I find comfort in its vastness
It’s nice to feel so small
Any mistake can be disastrous
But I’m not scared at all

Though it can be overwhelming
To be reeling through a sea of black,
I should think it’s pretty telling
That life’s not something it lacks

Life on Earth is one in a trillion
With a galactic playground to enjoy
And we number over 7 billion
So, every enby, girl, and boy:

Don’t fear the unfathomable
Greet your smallness with wonder
And you can do anything imaginable
If you only wake from your slumber.
