When I look at myself in the mirror
That reflection, it just isn’t me
Sure, there’s eyes, a nose, and ears
But I don’t recognize what I see

Some things that I have don’t belong
Though I won’t go into much detail
My shape and I don’t get along
I try to feel good and I fail

But even still I am proud
Of my identity and journey
My dysphoria can be loud
But my determination is sturdy

I know who I am
And who I will be
I know who I am
I know I am free
