"Ugh, so brainless" you sat down on the couch as soon as you came back from a secret meeting making the brothers look at you

"What happened?" Yūo sat beside you and handed you a glass of water

"Our spy got caught, he was almost beated to death to the point that someone had to call the police to stop them. He's critical right now in the hospital." you explained

"They didn't find out who was pulling the strings did they?" Zeniko asked worried

"No, but they got the spy's phone." You messed up your hair annoyed that your plans are ruined.

"Now we have to start from square one. Moebius is gonna be more strict for new members now."

"How did they find out though? He was this close on finding out where Winter is" Xayxio showed his pinch fingers leaving a small gap between them.

"What's up? Why do y'all look like the world is ending" Shuji asked coming home from his own meeting as well.

"Nothing... just- let's not talk about it" you scoffed and lay your head to the end of the sofa closed your eyes and held your necklace thinking about your next move.

"Boss, this Y/n Hanma seems to be his leader. Based on their conversation, they meet at night every weekends on the pedestrian bridge"

"Hmm, Y/n Hanma... sounds familiar"

"Should we take her down?"

"No, it doesn't concern my main target... but I want you to look into this and also her brother, Shuji Hanma. I have a feeling we can use him against her."

"Okay boss"

"You may go, leave the phone."

"I'll be going then"

You're playing an online game with the brothers when your phone suddenly rang having an unknown number flash on the screen.

You stood up and went out to answer it

"Hello, this is Lily, how can I help you?" You asked in a calm tone with your voice slightly different from normal as a disguise

"Meet me at the predestrian bridge tomorrow night. Bring no one or Winter and your spy is as good as dead" with that, the line got cut off without giving you time to respond.

You were left dumbfounded not knowing what to say or do.

'So much for a disguise'

Your brother Shuji was just coming home when he saw you outside staring at your phone

"Y/n, what are you doing out so late?" You heard his voice that caused you to turn your attention towards him

"I should ask you the same thing.. it's so cold ya know" you gestured to come inside and you both did.

"How did the meeting went?"

"Yeah, something interesting.. just fought off some thugs and had someone who wants me to be his chess piece haha" he laughed.

"Be his chess piece? What do you mean?" You looked at him with a bewildered look on your face. 

He sighed and leaned on the wall "I don't know either, but it's interesting so i agreed~"

You laughed with him because that's something your brother would do just to have some thrill with his life and it's something that makes you interested.

"Tell me more" you clinged your arm to his like a little child

"No go to sleep"

"Aww pleaseeee~"

"Get off me and get your own thrill."

"Tch"

"Y/n, I know you're interested but don't go around asking about it and don't you dare follow me to work okay?"

"Yeah yeah, I'm busy anyways" you waved off and walked away

"I have a feeling this is gonna be bloody and I don't want you to get dragged into this"

"Y/n , Y/n!" You heard Yūo kept chanting your name while coming in your room followed by his brother Xayxio.

"Yūo, are you sure you're supposed to be the balance of the group? You're messing it up" you mumble as rub your eyes getting up

"For real though. Bro you've changed." -Xayxio

"Breakfast is ready!" Zeniko shouted from the kitchen

"'Kay 'kay~ I'm coming" you mumble and walked to the bathroom to get ready for the day.

"Gosh you shocked me!" You almost jumped when you saw the two still outside the bathroom door silently standing like body guards.

"What are you doing? Let's go eat!" You ran down the stairs to meet Zeniko who's wearing his usual cold expression

You smiled at the two who ran after you "you're a fast runner"

You four started eating knowing that Shuji is nowhere to be found again but you didn't bother. Your mind is on about that call yesterday

"You have any plans yet?" -Zeniko

"H-huh? No... let's see what's their next move first. Pretty sure they're trying to find the mastermind now"

"I'll go somewhere tonight, don't wait for me"

"I'll go with you/ me too" Yūo and Xayxio volunteered

"No." Their faces turned into a frown

"Why? Is it a date?" Xayxio teased making you glare at him 'yeah right, a date?'

"Yep, something like that"

"Can I come?" Yūo asked again

"I said no, what's wrong with you two today? And who would bring another man on a date."

"Shuji told them to keep an eye on you" Zeniko explained

"You don't hve to do what he wants you to. You're on Life Division, not Death."

"Y/n please let me comeeee~" Yūo kept bothering you since this morning and now you have to go but he's just too much

"Nopeee~ Zeniko tie him down" Zeniko pulled him as you ran away and went to the meeting place

You walked calmly like a simple person passing by while you look at the place for any suspicion.

You stayed at the cafe near the pedestrian bridge as you observe everyone who pass by it.

Minutes later, one guy in simple clothing stayed there and leaned on the railing of the bridge

You received a message saying 'hurry up' so you stood up normally not giving any hints that it's you and you walked to where he is.

He's facing his back at you but the more you walk forward, the more you feel like he's connected to you.

"I'm here." You leaned beside him facing the road still not seeing his face

He looked at you, his eyes widened but he hid it

You looked at him and his earring immediately caught your attention. You held on to your necklace as you remember your old friend whom you thought you've lost forever.
