When is the right time?

We spent the rest of the evening eating, talking and just having a good time. I watched how the Bakugou family interacted and although they aren't the typical family, it was still nice. It was almost foreign to see his parents be so in love with each other. I mean I don't think I've seen my parents even hug...for good reason.

I began to feel a little sad. Thinking about how my family is the complete opposite. I'll never have this.

" ok it's getting pretty late I should get going" I smiled and stood up

" yea you're right, is your mom coming to pick you up?" Masaru asked

" oh well uh no I'm walking home. But I'll be fine" I smiled nervously

" it's way too late for you to be walking by yourself" he gave me a concerned look

" yea, katsuki walk her home will ya" Mitsuki sighed

" and what about when I have to walk home alone" he glared at his mom

" well we don't care about you " she said sarcastically

" whatever, let's just get this over with" Kat grumbled before putting on his shoes and walking outside

" ok then, thank you so much for having me over" I smiled at them

" oh please come more often, we haven't seen our son like that in years" Mitsuki laughed

" CAN YOU HURRY UP" I heard Kat shout from outside

" that's my cue, bye" I walked out of the house and met up with Kat

" you take too Damn long" he mumbled

" hey it's not my fault YOU'RE impatient" I pushed him a little

" yea well it's not my fault you're so slow" he rolled his eyes

" hey I'm not slow" I scoffed

" mhm"

" fine then let's race to that stop sign" I pointed across the street

" what are you a child?" He laughed at me

" yea a child that's... WINNING " I shouted as I shoved him and sprinted towards the stop sign

" HEY GET BACK HERE YOU DAMN CHEATER" he shouted and chased after me

I chuckled and looked forward. I'm almost there. I thought as I approached the sign. I stretched my arm out to reach the sign before I felt arms wrap around my waist.

" NOOOOO" I whined as I was lifted into the air

I heard Kat chuckle as he threw me gently onto some grass and slapped the stop sign.

" AHAHAH I WIN " he cackled evilly

" you suck" I said angry as I walked up to him

" says the one that lost" he got closer in my face

" uh yea only because you threw me" I tried to look angry but a small grin kept creeping it's way onto my face

" you started it" he scoffed

We began laughing until I realized how close he was to my face. I felt my face burning up but for some reason and I didn't wanna move. He must have realized too because his cheeks were dusted with pink while his ears turned bright red. I followed his eyes as they moved from my eyes too my lips.

Oh crap what's happening. I thought to myself.

" WILL YOU TWO SHUT THE HELL UP WE ARE TRYING TO SLEEP"

My eyes opened wide and I turned to see this old lady screaming from her window.

" WHAT THE HELL DOES THAT HAVE TO DO WITH US. IF YOUR TIRED THAN GO TO SLEEP YOU WRINKLY HAG" Kat shouted back at her

" my, this generation is so rude" she huffed and closed her window

I laughed and grabbed his arm, pulling him around the corner and onto my street. We walked a couple houses down in silence

" so... when will the right time be?" He looked at me seriously as we began to approach my house

Without explanation I immediately knew what he meant.

" whenever it feels right for you" I shrugged my shoulders

" well what if that time is now"

" then what are you waiting for" I chuckled and walked into my front lawn

" this is me so I'll see you Monday at school" I smiled

" yea whatever" he mumbled looking away

I took this opportunity and gave him a small peck on the cheek.

" ok well goodnight" I turned to run inside but I felt a hand grab my arm

I turned back around to see his dumbstruck face.

" I uh..." he gulped

" what" I smirked a little at him
There was a little silence as we stared into each other's eyes.

"Don't go to bed too late moron" he sighed and let go of my hand

" yea ok" I chuckled and walked up to my door

I waved at him before going inside and shutting my door

Kat pov

"Goodnight " I said to the wind as I stared at her door.

I stood there for a good 5 minutes processing what just happened. When it finally hit me, I felt myself blushing like an idiot. God I hate her for this.

I began to walk up to her door before I got a phone call.

" WHY ARE YOU TAKING SO LONG" I heard my mother shout

" calm your tits I'm on my way" I sighed and hung up

I looked back at the door before finally walking away.
