Picking Up and bonding

Hermiones POV

I read the letter Mrs weasley sent and immediately started packing.

She said Fred would pick me up which was weird I mean fred and George would be a bit less weird and more understandable but it was just going to be fred I didn't know why but I could always ask.

Anyway I got my suitcase packed and bring some books with me in a book bag with some essentials like hair brush ect

I wrapped up cozy because Mrs weasley told me we were taking a car and it was going to be quite cold

I informed my mother before packing and I was waiting in the living room for my ride

My father comes in from a collage class he is teaching (he's a doctor not a dentist that's my mother)

My father looked at me confused "leave for the winter?" He asked

"No I'm going to the Burrow for the rest of the summer" I said

"Oh really? What's your mother saying about this?" He asked

"She is fine with it I have someone coming over to pick me up as we speak" I say

"OK well remember to write" he said my father definitely cared more and would read everything I send my mother was too work oriented

I few minutes later my dad sat down in his chair I sat on the floor by his feet we both had a cup of tea and just waited until i was picked up.

Me and my father are more like eachother which makes it easier to bond and be in eachothers present and my mother was the complete opposite of us. I guess that's what they mean by opposites attract.

Soon enough I heard the doorbell

I walked up and opened the door to great fred

"Hello fred" I say with a smile

"Hey hermione you ready to go?" He said

"Yeah just let me get my suitcase from the living room one second" I say " you can come in for a minute it's quite cold" I offered

"Um ok" He said walking in I close the door and walk into the living room to get my suitcase

I got it and said goodbye to my father and walked out to meet fred again "OK now I'm ready" I say

"OK let's go I parked round the corner it will take a while to get to the country side to be able to fly so no one will see us" He told me

"Oh ok that's fine" I say

We walk out and down the street

"You've got all your things for two weeks in those two bags??" He asked sceptical

"Yes one is my book bag and one is my clothing and essentials" I said

"How that suitcase is tiny" He say

"Undetectable Extension charm" i answer

"Aren't you underage?" He asked with one of his eyebrow raised

"Yes but I did the charm at school I didn't use magic out of school I'm using a muggle object with a charm on it" i said

"But you're still using magic?" He said

"No I'm using something muggle that has a previous charm" I said " I researched it it's ok for ne to use it"

"OK I believe you" He said

"Good" I say

We laugh

We saw the car and got in
