In the year 1951, one small particular village in Singapore was infamous for unusual sightings of the supernatural. But when mysterious deaths and unfortunate infanticides kept on plaguing the village, everyone knew that there was something far more...
"Shroud: Jinn" has been adapted into both a podcast and TV series for Mediacorp! The story has inspired the screenplay and along with two other stories of mine, will be part of a 6 part anthology TV series called After Dark!
The minds behind this wonderful collaboration for the screenplays of three of my stories are none other than Wattpad WEBTOON Studios, Mediacorp, Oak3 Films and brilliant writers such as Michael Tay, Karl Gan, Stanley Seah, Vanessa Vanderstraaten. I can't wait for you lovelies to watch it because it's going to be a refreshing take!
The screenplay that is inspired by "Shroud: Jinn" is titled, "The Promise". The screenplay is set in an entirely different universe with a new storyline and fresh set of characters. Even so, I'm bubbling with excitement and really hyped up with the release!
It's going to be fresh! It's going to be different! It's going to be thrilling. But most importantly, it's going to be chilling!
If you love "Shroud: Jinn", you're going to enjoy "The Promise" as well! That's for sure!
Other titles to look out for in the After Dark anthology are, "Dinner Date" (inspired from Horrorfest: Dinner Date), "Delivery" (inspired from Horrorfest: Drive-Thru).
