(For science nerds, dinosaurs in my book are actually unusually warm-blooded, even though all of them are completely scaly except for the pterodactyl species in the book, which have some hair patches on their stomachs and ends of there tales, and the Quetzalcoatlus and Pterodactyl species are completely covered in wing membrane.(actually provable science has only confirmed of hair and a non-skin, non-scale, non-feather covering that is just currently called wing membrane.) Also, dilophosaurus can actually shoot low range sprays of boiling water at their enemies at a speed of thirty miles per hour in this book. I know it's not that realistic, but acid was already used, and I think if animals had a way to start a somewhat fire like substance in their stomach, which a type of beetle can actually make a spray at a temperature of over 210 degrees Fahrenheit, it's not all that fanatical and unrealistic as we might think, they would probably shoot burning pieces of their food at enemies. Also, the spinosaur pack is able to breath from their nostrils while swimming, kind of like crocodiles. Hey, if you think about it, a crocodile sure got downgraded instead of upgraded.) (other slight note, the comment of the alien saying his wife was weak is a fictional sentiment and not how I feel, I am not trying to offend anyone)

No latter then ten seconds after I thought about what had caused this destruction, a girl's voice over the mind link in obvious destress said, "There are aliens in the woods, and there armed! Me and a few other Gallimimus were looking for any sign of the scientists, but then they started chasing us! Luckily there not much faster than a human, but I think everyone should run!" the public mind link went silent, before a few second later the girl spoke again. "Does anyone else hear.....". Somehow, I could tell by the way her mind just disappeared from the link, that she was dead, which latter my pack had said they felt it too. But there were more disturbing matters.

I realized everyone was still standing in the middle of this plain, I knew I had to speak up.

"Everyone, get together with people of the same species, nominate a leader quickly, and get out of here as fast as you can, herbivores should all stick together, you may have a higher chance to not be attacked if they see a lot of you, if they find you get in defensive positions. Carnivores, divide yourselves into species specific packs, while the mammal herbivores should stick together as well. Also the public mind link may not work when were so far away, so if you can't communicate with any of the dinosaurs you can't see, don't worry. That is all, now go!"

Athena, the youngest female, said, "What about us, the raptors? Were are we going to go?"

Gregory, the seventeen year old, one year older than me, added, "Since Francine decided to have you be the pack leader, I hope you won't fail us and get us killed within our first day of freedom in almost a year. So, are we heading to were the herbivores went, the Tyrannosaurus pack, or are we going in another direction? Tell us fearless leader!"

Well, he knew how to be a pain in my back. "Were going north, see the moon? Its right is east, and its left is west, which that means were facing north, and behind us is south. Now, I assume we want to go back home, to see if America still exists and to see if our families are alive, and to get there from where I assume is a Peruvian plain, judging from the mountains and the Spanish and English sign on the front of that barely standing fence, we would want to head northeast. Am I correct?" No one replied, but when I started to run away from the lab, they all followed, even Gregory.

We headed into the rainforest, which I guessed we might be in the Peru Cloud Forest, since that was the only place I knew in Peru that had a rainforest. We had been running at medium speed for about thirty minutes, which I had no possible way of going that speed and for that long. This new body had so many survival advantages.

As we passed a wrecked lab, I was reminded of another sign of the presence of these aliens that the girl said had been chasing her and some others. The herbivores had gone northwest, which they would eventually run into the ocean. The spinosauruses, had headed straight east, most likely they were trying to find the ocean , since they could swim and find fish, and probably travel faster in the water, we had seen the rest of the terrestrial carnivores behind us before we had gained speed on them, and the dilophosaurs pack had passed us.

We didn't see any of them, we smelled them. When we were in the lab, they must have had a sterilizing smell, because all we smelt was plants, which are not very strong for our noses apparently, because now that we were free, we had a six sense almost. I know it was weird, but we could somewhat see what we couldn't see with our eyes by getting very strange visual input in our minds. Live things were blue and we could see them move, things like plants were just grey and dull, dead things, even under the ground were yellow, jaguars and other predators of the rainforest were red, and my pack was purple. It was like being able to speak both French and English, but instead it was smells that we were fluent in.

Two miles up ahead

"Gorel, what did the skiffz want us to take from this primitive planet? A jaguear, gagur, jugur?", said a alien with blue skin, a height of six feet, a long tail with two small side spikes, one rectangle shaped eye that was just pure black, a red cape, and a suit of armour made of a orange material, with blue strips on the shoulder.

"Frelez, it's called a jaguar, and just shut up. We have our invisible cloaks on, and we setup that chunk of meat as bait that we got from that primitive who thought he could defeat us with his primitive Dasx (Zasek for fighter plane). Ha, even my wife and my lowest slave could put up a better fight!", the alien boasted, without realizing this was the day he would cease to be.

As they talked, there small cylinder shaped radar called a "tirr: thermal identification range radar"  suddenly started to flash green.

The alien spoke with excitement, "Gorel, look! There are six large creatures coming towards us, and according to the tirr they are warm blooded and about the size of the creature the skiffz wants us to capture!"

"I don't know, he never said this jaguar was social, and the zebofs are low on water."

"What, I thought you weren't scared of these humans? You want to pack up and leave, because there heading straight for us. You and me both know we will be called fools and cowards, and probably be exiled, if any one ever finds out we left our post. We have more to gain than to lose, besides, these are even more primitive than those humans."

"I guess your right." Gorel said as he hopped onto the zebof, a large triangle shaped vehicle that hovered above the ground at two feet.

And so they were of, to try to kill one of the six members of my pack, which was the biggest mistake of there life.

After another three minutes of walking, we decided to stop and drink out of the many dirty rivers. Hey, it wasn't any one's first choice, but it still was refreshing.

Anyways, as we had finished a mind link conversation with the dilophosaurus pack, which was the only other lab escapes besides us who were in range to speak to over the mind link. I couldn't even smell them, which meant this worked over miles.

All of a sudden, I heard a slight humming sound getting louder and louder, and then I began to get a slight blurry view of a two red shapes on a grey odd-looking advanced vehicle.

"Does anyone else hear and smell that?" Jonathan, the oldest guy, spoke with obvious fear.

I realized pretty quick that there intents were probably not good. "Guys, I think what we're hearing and smelling is some of the aliens that destroyed that military base and the other human structures. I think there heading straight for us by the sound of their hover thing, and I doubt there here for a social call. If we run, they will just chase us and shoot us when our backs are to them while running. But, if we stand our ground, we may have a chance. But no matter what, it's all your individual calls."

"I think we're all agreed, your a good leader, and we will follow your lead." It surprised me that Gregory actually didn't attack me on this decision. Maybe he was finally accepting me being a leader.

The rest of the pack affirmed what he said, each member nodding there head.

"Well, if don't survive this, I would like to thank you guys  for being my new friends, and if we do survive this, I'm glad I won't be alone trying to survive this new world and bodies we now live in."

Just ten seconds after I had said this, the aliens stopped there hover vehicles. Suddenly, they threw a orange box, and we were surrounded by a glowing blue semi circle as tall as the trees and only twenty feet wide. We were trapped.

(Fixed the hexagon thing that said they were twenty feet wide, sorry about that)Sorry it's two days late, but I really tried to make a really good chapter for you guys, so I hope you think it was worth it, tell me what you think so far, and keep reading.
