Short but sweet

After nearly two hours, Peter had told Tony everything. Everything he could think of.

From the start, when he was bitten by the spider. How terrified he was. How he looked up a bunch of sewing videos and nearly always came out with a ridiculous spider web looking pattern when trying to make a circle. He decided to keep it in the final suit when he got better.

He told him about when he met Tony, how excited he'd been. How his whole life had changed for the better, and how much he loved spending time with him. Tony smiled at that.

Peter told him how hard it felt being Spiderman sometimes. The things he'd seen, people he couldn't save, betrayals he had to try to move on from, times he feared he really wouldn't make it out.

He also told him about the people he'd lost. Starting from his uncle and moving down to more recent events.

And then he told him about Aunt May. That was the hardest one. Peter could hardly even hear himself, and the continuous tears didn't help at all. It was both a miracle and a curse that Tony could even understand it. And he did not look happy.

This was the worst moment of his life. Peter had dealt with some shit, but this? This was a combination of all of that, and disappointing one of the only people he cared for the opinion of.

It was hell.

On Tony's half? Not much different. He's seen bad parenting from adults who just weren't ready for kids, but Peter.

Peter had been sent to a damn hospital and Tony was none-the wiser. Fucking Peter.

His own kid.

Tony was pissed. Pissed at May. Pissed at himself. Pissed at the entire world for letting this happen.

Of everyone. Everyone on this stupid planet. Why Peter? Why didn't Tony see it? What the hell was wrong with May, and how didn't he notice anything??

Shit, Tony had sent Peter back to his aunt so many times now, he felt like he'd become an accomplice at this point.

Tony wanted to do something about it so bad. Scream? Scold Peter for not telling him sooner? Curse out the universe? Drink himself to death to avoid the agony of this knowledge? Never let Peter leave the tower again? Send the bitch to death row? All of them were so tempting, but he promised.

Tony felt like he was witnessing an aftermath war zone. He'd missed so much, so much that'd just barley passed by. Fire not even gone out yet. People on the field alive, but not for long. He couldn't help anything, because he promised.

Tony shouldn't have promised. He had half a mind to go after May himself, or even just forget the whole deal itself and somehow combine all of those previous ideas into some sort of massive monstrosity to complete like a bucket list. But Peter was stressed enough right now. He knows how that works. Conflict will only make it worse. So much worse.

"Hey kid?" Tony spoke up after an extended period of silence.

Peter just nodded his head, not even looking up, a blank look on his face. The tears had finally dried, but only because there were no more left to cry.

"C'mere". Tony held his arms open.

Peter just let himself fall into them, too tired to even try to deny it. Tony rubbed Peter's back soothingly, but softly, terrified that he might accidentally hurt Peter.

Peter fell asleep there. So did Tony. Friday had already regulated temperatures and made sure no one else in the tower would enter that room, per "sleepy time" protocol whenever Tony passed out without a blanket. She had also closed the windows, just for the sake of it.

They slept for nearly 30 hours straight. Neither had gotten any good sleep that week, and it was certainly well deserved. Peter had fallen off of the couch around 20 hours in, and Tony's snoring nearly woke them both up if Friday hadn't've had recordings of background noise to play at full volume to drown out such sounds.

It was a good night.

Oui oui I have finished. Not this book, although I'm starting to realize that the ending might not be too far. I don't want this book to end, but I know it won't be good if I keep adding random plots to it that don't even make sense.

I cherish all of y'all's comments, and enjoy chatting with you a lot. I'll squeeze out a few more after this short one (apologies for not having him actually SAY what happened, I wrote most of this in a biology classroom and did not have the time nor brain power to write all of that out lol), but I hope I don't take another two months before posting another chapter lol.

Yesterday mostly got me writing because it is an anniversary of a very bad day of mine, and the friend I lost absolutely loved Wattpad, so I decided to dedicate a bit more time to it. I'm glad I did.

Anywhoosies, I love you all and hope you have a FANTASTIC day, otherwise you're going on the "soon to be deceased list", right under my name (:<

Sincerely, someone who is finally trying to get actual help (just like Peter :-D) 💛
