Like every day, I get up early in the morning, before anyone else. When I wake up, even with heavy eyelids or with a body as light as a mammoth, I can never get back to sleep. It's as if I have a bell in my brain... Anyway, I head to the living room, have my breakfast and look at the latest messages I received on Discord.
An ordinary morning, you might say. And then I remember that it's October 30th. In other words, the day before Halloween. It brings back good memories... and not so good ones, but I'll talk about that another time. With the lights off so that no one would suspect that a child would get up at 6am during the holidays instead of sleeping in, I look outside.

I've just finished my breakfast. I put my bowl down in the kitchen sink and then jump on the soft sofa and enjoy some Brawl Stars time alone. I'm so glad I bought the D'jinn and Squeak skin. They are just monstrously awesome!

Huh? But, Patrick, he's sleeping. Wait a minute! I hear noise in the living room! It's the sound of the Brawl Stars game! I'll go check it out. It's probably Eric. Ouch, my eyes are still hurting. Bong! Ouch! I didn't see the door close.
Eric POV
Okay, now I've clearly heard a noise that is not normal. I look around, making sure there's nothing strange. After a few glances, I don't see anything alarming, probably my sleeping brother hitting the wall while moving.Huh! There's... there's something moving in the hallway!
