(roguefort's pov)

As soon as the detective looked away I ran, I couldn't help but panic as I ran and ran. Soon enough I remembered something..the party.. the gala! I can invite him! As soon as it came to mind I rushed to him house, I saw him laying there asleep..it was odd seeing him so vulnerable..I left a note on his bed as well as an invitation,but as I was about to leave again a couldn't help but look back..he looked so stressed..even in his sleep..I saw him flinch as a stroked his cheeked. "My Lord..." I muttered under my breath as I ran my fingers through his hair. It felt soft..I felt almost sorry for him.. he's always so stressed and on top of that a child..I felt myself back away as he shifted,but just then I heard a soft knocking  on his door. "Papa?" I started to panic as I heard her speak,I quickly set some clothes down as I jumped out the window in a hurry not even thinking as i felt myself hit the ground. A suppressed a scream as I began running away. I felt excited.. something that no alcohol could have ever given me..it felt addicting.. but my daydreaming was cut short as I arrived at where the gala would be held. It was in the works of preparation yet it looked so beautiful already. The lights had been set up,the decorations seemed to shine like sapphire's in the night.

(Time skip) (roguefort's pov)

As all the guests began filling the halls the music began to play. I felt myself grow lonely as everyone started to dance in excitement as laughter filled the room. But soon enough I heard someone step into the room as I began to dance with another. It was the detective..I could see him stare at me at I danced.he looked so nice, I was slightly shocked that he even took the clothes. To me he never looked like the person to dress up for events or even bother with them. I know he was looking at me..I felt almost guilty that I couldn't greet him right away but I know I couldn't miss the chance to finish a dance. So as soon as I finished I began to make my way towards  him.

(Almonds pov)

I woke up to a soft shaking on my sleeve to see walnut standing there. "Papa?" She asked almost confused,"yes walnut?" I said with a yawn as I sat up in bed. " I saw someone in your room.." walnut spoke up hesitantly slightly scared. I instantly looked around as I tried processing what was happening..I actually felt scared.. before I could get up I saw a letter. I picked it up and stared at it wide-eyed as I recognized the blue flower imprint on the wax seal. "It's nothin shortstack.." I said as her expression turned to confused,I began to read the letter as walnut walked away.

'dear detective,
I'd like to invite you to a party.
For now consider it as my little gift.
I hope to see you tonight, I hope you'll 
atleast try to dress up.
But other than that I wish you only the best.'

I felt my face turn red as I realized what was happening.. he'd been in my room.. h-he could've hurt me..I felt myself panic as the possibilities of what he could've done to me rushed through my head. But after a few minutes I felt calmed as I saw an outfit placed onto the bedside table. It seemed to be handmade..did he..? would he..? Well it's tonight and I don't really have a choice..so for now I just have to get through the night.. i began to dress myself as everything seemed to fit perfectly.. it almost felt uncomfortable because of it.. how would he know anything about me? I don't know if I should question it but i could see the time begin to speed up the more I thought. So quickly I began to call latte for a last minute favor. "Hello?" Her voice spoke , "I'm sorry for being a bit last minute but can you watch walnut?" He said slightly in shame as he felt bad for attempting to leave walnut with her. " Of course! I'll be there in a few minutes" I felt slightly relieved but I still couldn't begin to think what roguefort had done.. knowing him I'd probably never know.."thank you so much!" I said before quickly putting the phone down.
