AND BUCKLE UP! THIS ONE IS A LONG CHAPTER!

"Well, we have a few hours left till we get back home." Sherlock gently places his head on William's shoulder.

"How was your day, Liam?" "It was very delightful, thank you for asking," he says, gently stroking Sherlock's hair.

Sherlock nuzzles his face into his lover's shoulder as he held it with his hand. William sighed after a long day of teaching. He looks to see all trees they pass by as the train moves. He hopes that the ride wouldn't be interrupted so they can get home by sundown.

William's eyes start to feel heavy but opened wide when the train suddenly halted to a stop.  The passengers were murmuring and asking the staff why the train had stopped in the middle of the trip.

"Everyone, please be seated. The conductor will be here to explain the situation," a staff member explained.

"What is with the noise?" William glances to see Sherlock waking up. He stretches his arms and stood up to observe the area.

"Sherlock, please take a seat. The conductor will be here to explain everything." William says as he holds his lover's hand. Sherlock shrugs his shoulders and sits back down. He crosses his arms and starts to think.

"Yes, Sherly. It can possibly be a few things wrong with the train itself-" "Or the train tracks," Sherlock finishes William's sentence. They glance at each other and share the possible problems that could have happened.

"The railroad could be blocked," Sherlock states, leaning back to his seat.
"The train's engine could have run out of coal to burn," William suggests.
"A couple of screws that are loose and need a mechanic," Sherlock replies.
"It could also be a few issues with the communication." They both nod and look at the possible outcomes that might happen.

"Good day everyone, I am your conductor. There have seemed to be a few issues with our trip back to London and we will need to wait. The station has been notified about our issue and is getting here to help as soon as possible." He tries to explain as calmly as possible.

"How long do you think we would wait, Sir?" A passenger asks, getting up from his seat.

"The estimated time will most likely be a few hours."

The passengers are upset and make a fuss about how the train wouldn't be able to move till help arrives. The staff members calmly get everyone seated. The two geniuses glance at each other and think about what they should do to spend the time they have.

"What if someone tries to do anything while on the train? There are no policemen in here!" A man exclaims and a group of people agrees with him.

"This situation seems familiar, doesn't it, detective?" William grins at his darling. Sherlock rubs the back of his neck and nods his head with confidence.

"I can assure you all that everything will be fine. We just need to be patient," the conductor says but could not explain further as a passenger had proceeded to raise his hand on him.

"You lousy little-" "That's enough now." The passenger looks behind him to see a blond who has held his wrist that stopped him from hitting the poor conductor.

"I recommend that you back to your seat, Sir," William says, letting go of the man's wrist. The passenger was not pleased by William's action of defending the poor conductor.

"How would you like it if I hit you instead?" He takes a glass filled with water and throws it in William's direction. He looks at his hand but the glass was not in his possession anymore. He looks to see that someone has taken the glass from him.

"For a man with such a good title in your field, you lack manners." Sherlock spat at the man and places the glass on the floor.

He looks stunned. 'How does he know about my career?'

"Let me take a look as well," the blond glances at him and directs his attention to the misbehaving passenger, "you help publish papers in London. I wonder what others would think if they saw you in this situation."

"I don't know who both of you are but I know I could get both of you arrested," he panics and clears his throat.

"Arrested for what? You attempted to hit the conductor. I can charge you with assault," William says with a grin.

The man looked around and gets on his knees and begs for forgiveness. William looked down at this man with a pathetic apology. Sherlock gets a few staff members to hold the man in an area to be detained as they wait for assistance.

"I don't know how to thank you, sirs," the old conductor says with a smile. Sherlock and William say that it was not much since the conductor had handled the situation for the most part.

"Liam, I'll find the carriage Mycroft sent to get us home." He pats his lover's shoulder and leaves to go search for it.

"He's special, isn't he?" William turns to see the conductor with a wide grin.

"Yes, indeed," he says with a smile.

"I wish the both of you the best, Professor Moriarty." He takes his cap off.

William's eyes widen and he was about to speak but was interrupted.

"Your brother, Earl Moriarty, has helped my brother during a battle. Ride with us again as a token of my gratitude." He humble bows down.

"I look forward to doing so, sir," William says.

"And if you love that detective of yours, I'm sure he likes you as well. He looks at you the way I look at my wife," he teases William who just chuckles.

"LIAM, IT'S OVER HERE!!!" They look to their left to see Sherlock waving his hands to get William's attention.

William shakes the old conductor's hand and bids him farewell.

.

.

"What did you discuss with the conductor, Liam?" Sherlock says as he sits on the bed. William sighs and says that it was just small talk.

"Small talk? About what exactly?" He asks with a curious look.

"Let's just say that we will be meeting him more often on the train rides."
