Richie had no idea how he would tell Eddie
All he knew is he wanted to tell him so bad
The losers were having a drink and they all laughed and joked all night
All the losers went to bed but Eddie and Richie
"Eddie I know that I....didn't seem happy to see you but in reality...I just can't believe you're here" He didn't know what to say Richie was at a loss for words
"Richie, I know. I feel weird being here it seems like a long time since we saw each other and the last memory I had of you was you crying and I hate it so please, please just. I can't with the sappy shit. At least not with you" Eddie had tears in his eyes saying that
Richie didn't want to cry but at that moment all he could do was cry. He held it in for Eddie.
Eddie looked at Richie's tear-filled eyes and didn't know what to think. Richie did what he should've done a very long time ago. He stared into the eyes of his best friend and slowly leaned forward and kissed him.
The kiss was sweet and slow. It lasted a few seconds. The passion between the two of them was unimaginable.
They both pulled away and Richie regretted everything that had just happened. Anxiety wafting in his face and the pain of thinking he just ruined everything.
Eddie stared at Richie. Eddie had realized the feelings he hid away for years were shared between the two of them.
Eddie grabbed Richie's face and pulled him into another kiss. This one was more passionate than the one they had just shared.
They pulled away inches from each other's faces.
"I love you, Richie."
Those words. Those 4 words were enough to make Richie break. Tears rolled down his cheeks as he reconnected their lips.
That time they didn't pull away immediately they stayed like that until they had to pull away for air. Looking at Eddie, Richie knew everything would be ok
Richie held Eddie's hand and just stared. The man he had loved his whole life kissed him. They kissed. After years of praying it would happen and it finally did all Richie could think about was how amazing that kiss felt.
And it's the only thing he would think about for a while.
