Two weeks later
Well this war ended up better than I thought it would. No one I cared about ended up dying. Well neji and guy sensai came close but the both of them thankfully ended up surviving.
I still remember how shikamaru hugged him with tears in his eyes when he finally woke up from his coma. It was the sweetest thing!
Right now I was sitting on the park bench thinking to myself. I always enjoyed the feeling of the outdoors. It made me feel at peace-
"hey babe" I looked up to see kankuro smiling at me.
"hey you" I giggled "what are you doing here?"
"Well do you remember what I told you during the war?" he asked.
"yeah you promised to marry me" I grinned.
"that's right puppy. Now close your eyes and give me your hand"
"ok?" I giggled, feeling a little confused by his action but doing it anyway.
He took my hand and placed something on my finger.
"ok kid open your eyes"
I opened my eyes and on my finger was a diamond ring!
"do you like it? I bought it for you this morning" he smiled nervously.
"oh babe it's beautiful!" I wrapped my arms around his neck with happy tears in my eyes.
I guess I really am getting married.
