"what are you doing?" aven asks heartbreak clearly evident in her voice
looking down at her sister who was sat in a ball her legs up towards her chest he hands hands covering her face
layla looks up to her sister with slight tears in her eyes as she cradled herself rocking back and fourth
"i want to go home" layla said in a whisper
aven sighs sitting next to her "we can't, scott hasn't left for his meeting yet and we're trying to figure out the gold situation"
"no" layla cuts her off "i want to go home, home" she cries using her hand to wipe the tears under her eyes that were beginning to form
"i want to go home, and-and i want to watch mum bake cookies and eat the chocolate from the bowl" she said turning to aven "and i want to watch dad water mums roses and take care of the garden because he told her he was a pro at gardening even though he has no idea what he's doing" she laughs with the tears that fell
aven watched her sister cry on the floor before leaning her head on her shoulder and leaning into the comfort and warmth
"i do too, layla" aven says feeling the ache of her parents that were no longer around
"i want dad back" she cried "i miss going out with him on the boat, or telling me all the stories of his and mums adventures"
"and i want mum, i miss her hugs and her laugh" she said thinking of her mums warm hugs that she'd crave when in a low
"i want them back" she cried letting aven pull her deeper into a hug
