Take a Picture, It'll Last Longer

• Chapter Two •

Before you knew it, Monday finally rolled around. You were both excited and nervous. This is the first time that you were going to talk to Ted's friends. Over the past couple of days you and Ted had been speaking here and there over discord. Texting each other some memes occasionally or chitchatting.

It was 30 minutes before you had to start the podcast. The butterflies in your stomach were driving you mad. Whilst dealing with them, you decided that it would be best to refill your water bottle, and grab some snacks. Just incase you might not feel well during the call.
After gathering your things, you make it over to your computer and start it up. As your waiting for it to load the lock screen, you receive a text from discord. You see that you've been added to a private dm group with Ted and his friends.

Theodore🥛: You guys wanna join the call so we can have (Y/N) get to know you guys before the podcast starts?

After reading that, your anxiety rose. But you tried brushing it off by chuckling at Ted's nickname, seeing as he probably changed it this morning. After unlocking your computer and loading stuff up, you hop onto discord. Once it finished loading you received the call pop-up and hit accept. Quickly putting on your headphones as you entered the call, you could hear Ted's voice as he welcomed you and his friend. "Hey Ted. Hello stranger, I'm Charlie." You saw the mans camera turn on afterwards. "Hi Ted! Hello Charlie, I'm (Y/N). How are you?" You reply, timidly. "I'm doing very well thank you. How are you?" He replies sweetly. "Oh am I not gonna get asked how I'm doing? I'm doing great." Ted says sarcastically. "Ted you're such a pain. I'm doing fine Charlie thanks for asking. HoW aRe yOU tEd?" You said the last part of your sentence in a mocking voice. Making Ted laugh, making the smile on your face grow  larger. You and Ted started to grow closer over text, poking fun at each other here and there. So for him to hear you do it verbally was different.

You heard a discord ping as someone else joined the call. "Hey Schlatt, it's about time you showed up." Charlie says jokingly. "Hey I'm here early for once, you can't even be mad at me." Schlatt said, turning on his camera with a bright smile. Ted finally follows suit and turns on his camera. This is the first time your seeing him outside of pictures.

You decide that its finally your turn to show your face, so you press the video button. Seeing your face light up on camera, you can see Ted light up. This was the first time he has actually seen your face. "Hi Schlatt, it's nice to meet you. I'm (Y/N)." You say with a small smile. "It's nice to meet you too. Just a warning, if it seems like I'm being an ass, I'm just joking around." He said with a chuckle. "Noted." You reply smiling. "So. Now that we have introductions out of the way. Do we have any last minute things that we wanna write down before we start the podcast?" Ted says as he glances between you and the other boys. Charlie and Schlatt shook their heads no, which just left you. "I got nothing, I'm good to talk about whatever honestly." You reply, earning a nod from Ted. "Alright, are we ready to start then? I know its a little early but were all here so we might as well yeah?" He asks. "Sure, I gotta record a couple things after this so the sooner we start is good with me." Charlie replies. After you and Schlatt give your silent affirmations, Ted begins his recording, immediately syncing up his audio. The other two boys do the same.

Once the boys are done, Schlatt asks you a question. "So. How do you sleep at night knowing there are people more famous than you?" Immediately you begin to laugh, as Charlie and Ted give disappointed looks. "Peacefully. Because I don't have a bunch of people up my ass all the time." You reply with a smug smile. Schlatt seems a little taken back by your response as Ted laughs. "Schlatt why would you ask that man? It gives me flashbacks of when you asked Minx why they revived her in the hospital." Charlie says with his hands slowly gliding down his face. "I remember that episode. That was so rude but funny." You reply laying back in your chair. "You watched that episode?" Schlatt asks with a confused look. "Sure did, I needed to know what I was getting myself into." You reply with a laugh. "Oh my god just start the intro, editor please." Ted says desperately as he smiles widely. "This is a great start already I can feel it." Schlatt says excitedly.
