Harriet has been to 3 homes so far, 2 of them placed there by Mr. Poe, a muggle that also tried his best with Baudelaires. The first, the peaceful Potter Manor. It went up in flames on Halloween, when poor Harriet was one. The fire was a result of arson by a horrible man named Tom Riddle, or Voldemort. He tried to kill her outright, and make it seem like an accident with a fire, but she survived the killing curse. The second home was in the Poe home, she stayed for a month before being placed in her third home, the Dursley's residence. She managed to survive there for 9 years, until Harriet was ten. She got her Hogwarts letter and quite a beating that almost killed her. She ran away a week after. The Potter heir was living on the streets, being watched by a man named Arnson Olaf. The surname might be familiar, for he is the son of Esme Squalor and Count Olaf. Arnson heard of the Potter fortune, and tried to kidnap Harriet off the streets. He ended up in the hospital.
She goes around the streets, looking for food and some way this could get better.
