Gesture Drawing 1 (Contest 3-Closed)

Here are some of my gesture drawings...

My Experience:-

These are only practice sketches. These are drawn to study the different blocks of the human body and how they move in different positions. You can easily notice the basic shapes inside the body. Yes! these simple shapes constitute our body. Whenever you see a detailed sketch of a body you should know that it started with some basic shapes and lines. The artist then slowly starts adding details of the body like muscles, external body parts, etc. to make it look more realistic. 

I really love how all these shapes work with one another to generate different body postures. But maintaining their proper proportion is a difficult job. But as we all know nothing is difficult in art with practice. Also, lines define the gestures of the characters. The flow of lines gives boldness to the sketch. I have many such sketches in my sketchbook. I will share them in the upcoming chapters. :)
