I gasped as I felt a hand grip my wrist, exerting all my strength I tried to pull away, but the grip was too strong, a few seconds of struggle passed before eventually I was pulled in, "God damn it!" I cursed myself, 'I was so close to getting inside my room--- now I have to go through the bullshit scolding she's gonna do', I groaned as my vision began to spin, as I open my eyes the scene before me was not the one I expected, it was some sort of dark room, a real dusty one too, all my life I've been living in this palace, explored every room every passage but not once have I ever seen this, "Well, well, well." a boisterous voice spoke in the dark, "Long time no see, Ymir."

---

---

"Arlert Jr?!" I gasped loudly, before falling into a fit of giggles, "You scared me there for a bit! I thought you were a guard!"

"Well, you're lucky I wasn't, guards were swarming this place earlier." He grinned before offering his hand, pulling me off the ground.

Arlert Junior the son of the famous spokesman of Eldia,  Armin Arlert, he used to be my classmate back then, we were best buddies, partners-in-crime if you might say, he didn't look like it but he was a big trouble maker, just like me, so naturally we'd be best friends.

"You used to be so scrawny back then!" I punched his shoulder playfully, before recoiling after feeling my fist hit his bone. "Ouch!"

"On second thought--- you're still a little scrawny, must've been the lighting."

He scoffed before pulling my arm leading me to the entrance of a tunnel in the corner of the room.

"How did you find this?" I questioned him, "Did you dig it?" I interrogated him furthermore.

"No--- me and Sasha heard about rumors of a tunnel that was made by the queen's secret lover back then, and we decided to, y'know, investigate." He pulled my arm further leading me through the tunnel, before stopping to grab a lantern he had left behind. 'A secret lover huh?' I though as I followed him.

"We won't need a lantern for this area." He smiled his eyes full of wonder.

"What do you mean? It's almost pitch black in here!"

"You'll see." He tugged my arm, moving more quickly than before, "Hey! Wait!" 'this guy is gonna rip my arm off!' "Slow down a little!" I yelled at him before he lead me through the maze of tunnels, as we turned the last corner, I gasped.

I covered my eyes with my arm, as light poured into my vision, my eyes blinded by the sudden light. I could hear him laughing in joy, but I just couldn't see why, a few seconds passed before my eyes adjusted to the light, as I pulled my arm away, I stood simply staring at the sight before me, a huge hall made out of luminous crystal, grand pillars made out of the same luminous material stood before me, "H-how big- what- what is this place!?" I laughed, overjoyed at the new discovery.

"I don't know! I wasn't able to explore it!" He ran to explore the room, shortly I followed him.

"I've never seen a crystal like this before." I spoke, and it was true, being royalty I have seen hundreds and hundreds of crystals and gems, all of them bored me, but not once have I ever seen anything like this, and it had fascinated me beyond expectation. He looked at me before nodding in agreement.

As I looked around the area, I noticed writing on top of the writing, "Yo, Arlert! Come look at this!" I called for him, shortly after he arrived, "What's the matter?" He rose a brow, confused on why I'd call, "Look there." I pointed up, as he looked left and right.

"Where?" He questioned, looking as dumb as ever.

"Up there you idiot!" I flicked his forehead with my hand, "Oh. . ."

"What does it say?" I questioned him, "I don't know, I can't see clearly without my glasses." I cursed to myself, thinking of an Idea, ding! A light bulb sparked in my mind, "I know! Since it's soo high for us to read, how about you let me sit on top of your shoulders!" I smiled brightly, complimenting my own genius, ". . .  I don't think I can carry you.."

"..."

"Are you calling me fat?!" I yelled at him, offended at his statement.

"No! No! No! Y-your perfectly fit! I-it's just that... Ahem-" He cleared his throat, "Like you said--- I'm too scrawny and weak.."

"Nonsense!" I flicked his forehead once more, "I'm as light as a feather, even a twig like you can carry me." I giggled before signaling him to bend down, as I jumped on his back, "Ah!" He gasped, before almost losing his balance, "As light as a feather right?" I smiled at him confidently, he groaned "Y-yep! Definitely. . ." I looked back up onto the ceiling, "So? W-what do you see?" He questioned, a slight struggle in his voice, "Hmm... I cant quite read it, get on your tippy toes."

"What?!"

"Just do it!" I scoffed, as I felt him get on his toes, I felt myself swaying back and forth, "Hey steady!"

"It's not as easy as you think!" He yelled.

I looked back at the ceiling, the writings being more visible than before.
