32 - Officially Mine

"This is a lovely home," Yeonjun comments as you lead everyone to the main living room on the first floor of the house.

"Thank you," you nod with a small smile.

"Why are you acting so posh and proper all of a sudden?" Beomgyu questions, doing a double-take to fake a gag in front of the older male's face. The bear hybrid is trying to portray a look of disgust, but the wide grin pulling at his lips makes him look like an excited young child playing a prank. "You usually roam around our apartment trying to act all cool - emphasis on trying - while spitting out some weird rap verses."

"Don't mock my work," Yeonjun gasps.

"Should I rap one of your verses to show everyone?" the bear hybrid erks.

You have to bite your bottom lip to stop the amused snort that threatens to slip past you when Beomgyu begins rapping a few lines, placing heavy emphases on some syllables in a clear mocking manner.

"This is what I deal with every day after work," Soobin sighs exasperatedly as he takes a few long strides to catch up to your side.

"How adorable," you giggle.

"I don't think so," the lawyer shakes his head instantly. "This, coupled with Yeonjun's constant harassment, is a nightmare.

"Harassment?" you muse just as everyone begins to find their own seats.

"Junie manhandles Binnie every second he gets," Beomgyu snickers as he joins in on your conversation only to earn another slap on his upper arm from the older male in question.

"I see," you nod in understanding. "He just shows his love through physical touch."

"Exactly! Thank you, Y/N. I'm glad at least one of Soobin's friends has a brain," Yeonjun exasperates.

Most of the pack, including yourself, has settled into their usual seats in the living room by now, leaving Soobin, Yeonjun, and Beomgyu to glance around unsurely. At that moment, Jungkook is quick to notice a certain bear hybrid eyeing the seat next to you and makes it his mission to scurry over to you - nearly knocking Yeonjun off his feet in the process.

A soft "oof" slips past your lips when the black panther hybrid practically tackles you like a skilled offensive lineman of a football team and knocks the wind out of you.

"Jungkook," you hiss, sending the paranoid cub a quick glare. "Was that necessary?"

"Just wanted to secure a good spot," the panther shrugs with a bit of arrogance while he sends the bear hybrid a quick side-eye and a victorious chuff.

"Beomgyu, you can sit next to me," Taehyung offers, patting the available seat next to him and even going as far as scooting over to welcome the younger male. You nearly melt at the sweet sight.

And this adorable tiger hybrid dare call himself a monster? What a preposterous claim.

"Okay," Beomgyu smiles shyly before slowly approaching the older male.

"So, Y/N," Soobin directs the attention when he pulls Yeonjun to sit with him on the open spaces on the other side of you. "We have a few things to discuss."

"We do," you nod in confirmation.

"Did you bring the adoption papers?" Jungkook asks eagerly, perking up when the lawyer pulls up a small briefcase that you hadn't noticed he was carrying.

"I did," Soobin chuckles. "I wouldn't dare to forget such important documents."

"Damn right," the panther nods once in agreement. Honestly, at this point, you can't decide if you want to scold him for his comments or coo at him while pinching his cheeks out of adoration. Perhaps you can do both.
