"Hey, guys! What's up? You rarely call me to meet up at the last minute, everything good?" I ask as I sit down in front of Mikey and Draken at a diner where they asked me to meet up.
"Hey Kat! Come sit and order something to eat. Ken-chin's treat" Mikey says, giving me a smile.
"Hah?! I never agree to pay for all our food, ya' know what, whatever." Draken rolls his eyes and I giggle.
"It's ok, I'll just take a chocolate milkshake." I say to then look at Mikey again, while Draken orders. "So, Mikey, what's up?" I ask once more.
"Right, this is an official Toman matter so this should not get out of here for the time being." He says now with a serious look on his face and I nod. "So, some word has gone out that the Tokyo Manji is handling some illegal fighting ring in exchange for money." He says and looks at me waiting for my reaction. I stayed silent for what felt like a few minutes but it was probably way less than that.
"What?! Toman would never!" I say once my brain was able to process what Mikey just said accidentally hitting the table a little too hard calling a bit of attention our way.
"Calm down Kat, here have your milkshake." Draken says handing me the shake the waiter had brought.
"Sorry, and thank you." I say to take a sip of my drink. "Continue." I say after a few seconds.
"As I was saying, those are the rumors going through. It has been said that it's coming from the 3rd division. So I'm gonna need you to low-key investigate and let me know if it's true. Once you get the information tell me everything you know, we'll take care of it." Mikey explains and I nod.
"Got it boss. I'll go right away tomorrow after class. I'll keep you updated." I say and take another sip of my drink
"Good, thanks Kat, I knew I could count on you." Mikey says, smiling at me.
"I'll always be here for you boss." I smile back at both blondes.
