"Ever wonder what it's like to drown?
Story of opposites.
There's peace in water.
Like it's holdin' you, whisperin' in low tones to let it in.
And every problem in the world will fade away.
But then there's this thing...In your head, and it's raging.
Lighting every nerve with madness.
To fight.
To survive.
And all the while, this question lingers before you: "Have you had enough?" It's funny.
You could pass a lifetime without ever facing a choice like that. But it changes you forever.
For that, I thank you... old friend."

(Y/N pov)

I sat on my bed looking at the dusty carpet thinking about what Vi had told me before she left today. She asked me to protect Powder for her. I wish I would have gone with her to turn myself in too. I don't want to leave her alone in a prison cell I care about her too much. She's my best friend.

(Vi pov)

I sat on one of the wooden boxes in the storage room at Benzo's and fiddled with my fingers waiting for the enforcer's arrival.

Footsteps got closer and closer to the door

I stood awaiting my fate with eyes fixed on the door

The door opened

"Vander?" I was shocked to see him walking towards me

He sighed "We don't have much time."

"How did you find me?" I questioned

"I'm proud of you. Always have been." He put his hands on my shoulders and cupped my cheeks

"I'm sorry, I... This is the only way to protect the others." I stammered

Benzo stood behind us "Vander!" He shouts looking out the window spotting the Enforcers getting closer

"You've got a good heart. Don't ever lose it. No matter how the world tries to break you. Protect the family." Vander told the pink-haired girl

"What are you..." she spoke but soon realised what he was doing and before she knew it the door slammed with her locked inside "NO! Vander let me out this isn't right!"

enforcer Grayson walks into the shop "I'm guessing that's for me."

Marcus sighs "You gonna let us make the arrest or not?" He walked towards Vander looking up at the rather tall man

"You'll oblige a doomed man one last smoke." Vander lights his match on fire and inhales the pipe "Won't you?"

Grayson pushed Marcus aside and stood facing the opposite side of Vander "I'm not putting you away, Vander. The Council needs its pound of flesh. Without you down here, it all falls apart."

He huffs at her "Benzo will handle things. I may not have my devilish charm, but he runs a tight ship."

"Vander, no. You can't do this!" I punched the door hard

Grayson spoke to Vander "You won't be coming back for a long time."

"I know." He replied

"Why? You're giving up a cause for some children?" She talked again

He lightly nods "It's the only way."

"Benzo, open the damn door!" I shout and punch the door a few more times.

Then I hear something behind me and turn my head to the noise to see y/n behind the large crates I pull her out of there and give her a tight hug "what the fuck is wrong with you" I punched her shoulder
