I aggressively hit the alarm button off and get out of bed

It's been 1,980 days since the day I was given the chance to become a perfect citizen of piltover, the day I lost two of my best friends and also the day I met my new partner Caitlyn.

It is also a happy progress day! The day I get to sit around watching over tents with Caitlyn. Hooray

I took a shower and brushed my teeth, I put on my Enforcer uniform and fixed up my face and hair and went to start the day.

A robot announces "Happy Progress Day. Happy Progress Day!"

I walked through the crowds of people occasionally waving at a newcomer or a small friend till I got to the Kiramman's tent where I saw Cait looking out for any piece of danger she could get her hands-on

Mrs Kiramman declared "Our most famous protégé, Jayce Talis. The visionary behind the Hexgates, a beacon of trade and prosperity for our great City of Progress."

Jayce looked over at the two of us working and made his way over to us "Excuse me. Sorry, sorry. Yeah. Excuse me." he moved past the people in front of him

"He's a very busy man." Mrs Kiramman told the crowd

"you've got hex tech coming this way," I whispered in Caitlyn's ear

he flicked her round the head and she twisted his arm

"Cait-" Jayce yelps

"Serves you right." I laugh

Cait looked over to her mother and turned the other way

"You still avoiding her?" Jayce questioned

"I'm working," she said bluntly

"Oh, I can see that. I mean, there's so much crime to thwart outside your family's tent." Jayce smiled which caused me to chuckle a little

"I can only imagine the strings she pulled to have me posted here." Cait had her back turned to the both of us

"It's your fault really, for not following her into a career "more befitting your station." blurted hex tech

Caitlyn sighed "She'd do anything to keep me from seeing the real world."

"Such a bummer" I tutted

"Well, at least you'll have front-row seats to the speech." he gestured to the two of us

"Speech?" I queried

Jayce nodded "I'm giving the big address tonight."

I hummed in response

"We really have descended to anarchy." Caitlyn smiled at him

"Have fun herding the drunkards." Jayce chuckles

"Happy Progress Day!" a man yells above us on an Airship.

"So Y/n, what are you doing tonight after Jayce embarrasses himself?" Cait looks down at me

"probably working" I chuckled up at her

"well if you want we can always do something together. I do really fancy cupcakes right now" she tucked a strand of my hair behind my ear and it made me stop in my tracks.
