"How are you feeling?" She asked sitting on my desk facing me in my chair. "I'm fine," I tell her, I pulled her so she slid across the desk and was sat directly in front of me. "Do you need me to change your dressing?" "No, I did it myself this morning," I tell her. "I promise," I say when she gave me a look. "Okay."
It had been two weeks since all the drama. Her dad is staying in New York recovering, I have Comet at my apartment... He's becoming a permanent resident in my apartment, well until Clint leaves anyway, then he's going with him. I have him there because Via doesn't trust me. I slipped in the shower and tore my stitches and now she's all mothering. It was really cute how much she cared, she was always gentle and tender. Her fingers danced gracefully over my skin leaving me wanting more. Of course, she wouldn't until I was signed off by the doctor.
"Sit," I tell her, pushing from the desk so she had room to sit on my lap. I wanted her close to me. "We're in school, remember the rules." "Screw the rules." I tugged her wrist and she moved sitting on my lap being careful not to hurt me. I kissed her immediately and pulled away slowly. "We have the Spanish trip coming up." I reminded her and she nodded. "You still want to go right?" "A week with you? Of course." I smiled.
"You've been less challenging recently," I observed as she sat playing with my hair. "What do you mean?" She asked softly with a small head tilt. "You've stopped rolling your eyes, talking back." "You're injured, you had a knife slice your tummy open and glass and dirt in your back from the fall." She explained. "The last thing on my mind is annoying you." "So you do it on purpose." She smirked. "You get so worked up about it...it's kind of a turn on." Noted. "How's your dad?" "He's good, training actually." "Lucky." She rolled her eyes. "I thought you were giving me a break?" "That was an acceptable eye roll." I shrugged. "You're not going back to training when you're recovered right?" "No, I'm done with that." "That's what dad said and now he's going back." "He's training students, he's not." "I don't care. I don't want him to. You wasn't even involved anymore and now you're hurt and it's my fault." "No it's not your fault." "I went in, you told me not to and then you get thrown off a balcony onto broken glass and rubble." "I would have gone in there whether you did or not." I scanned her face. "But I'm not going back to work for them... I'm focused on other things now." "Like what?" "Oh I don't know this really fun girl I met in my Russian class." "Tell me more?" She joked. "She's a really good dancer. She has these big beautiful hazel eyes that make me melt when I look into them. She's super smart, maybe even smarter than me. And she's fearless." "I'm not." "You are, you protect the ones you love without thinking of the repercussions on yourself, that's fearless to me." I pecked her lips softly. "Are you busy tonight?" "Gameday." She says simply. "I'll see you there. Are you going to the parties after?" "I think so..." I smiled. "You should, don't let one dick ruin your fun." She nodded. "I wish you could come." "One day." She nodded standing up and going to her desk.
"I'm free for lunch?" She offered. "I have meeting with the school for the trip." She pouted as I explained. "I have to work." "I hate it." I chuckled. "Well when you're a big-time lawyer I can stay home." I teased. "You'd get bored and bug me all day," I smirked knowing I already do this. If she's in class and I have no work to do I'll message her and bug her. "I'll see you at the game?" She says getting her coat on. "I told you I would." "Alright chill." She chuckled. "Come here," I told her and she listened as she slipped her bookbag on.
I stood up and leant over the desk and kissed her once before she left.

I spot the girls in the crowd they were in their gameday jerseys tied in a crop top and skinny jeans, Via hand her hair in braids, Wanda hand hers in space buns and Carol had hers in two pigtails. Via was putting a bow in Peters hair and smiling widely. Ned and MJ was with them too. She was always laughing and smiling with her friends. They're her support system and I was glad she had them. They had no clue what was really going on in her life but they were still there for her.
