"A Couple of Months Later"
Alec's POV
Sunshine screams "get me to the fucking hospital you're the reason I'm in so much pain"
Time flies, it's time for Sunshine to give birth and she's screaming at me at the top of her voice her moods are changing quickly sometimes she tells me how much she loves me, and sometimes she tells me she hates me for impregnating her. I know it's because she's about to go into labor so I'm trying my best to get everything in order so I can take her to the hospital.
I packed the suitcases in the trunk of the car "yes suitcases" she insists she wants to carry a lot of clothes as we didn't want to know the baby's genders until they are born. I drove out, Sunshine was a bit calmer than she was a couple of minutes ago which was a bit strange so I drove a bit faster.
I asked her how she's feeling and she replied "the contractions aren't coming on fast but I want to reach the hospital" I watched her as she drank blended okra mixed with olive oil she says her mother told her it'll make the babies slip out.
We did keep a shower for the babies our friends didn't know what to bring as they didn't know the gender of the children but they worked with gender-neutral colors. Sunshine cries for everything she may just be laughing then you'll hear sobs and don't you dear ask her what's wrong because you'll get a cuss out and if you don't ask that's a cuss out too.
It was like walking on knives you know they're gonna cut you. We reached the hospital the doctor was awaiting us, he took her to the room and I got the bags from the car. I went to the room she was in and the nurses were checking her pressure, I put the bags down and went to the bedside I kissed her on the forehead and say "I love you, babe you got this" she held my hand while we waited for the doctor to arrive, the nurse told us that everything looked good and the babies are at 5 centimeters. Sunshine screamed gripping my hand tightly she groaned saying "they're coming get the doctor".
The doctor ran to the room and said "these babies aren't waiting there ready to come out man" I just stood there looking at him I wanted to punch him so badly my fucking fiancé is screaming and he wants to make jokes. Oh, I forget to tell you guys we got engaged it was the same night of the baby shower Sunshine was well dressed in a beautiful multicolored dress she didn't even see it coming. Her mom helped me every step of the way I got all her friends and most of her family members to come it was a magical night she cried so much but it was all worth it. She's my baby mother and before that the love of my life it's time we tie the knot.
The doc started telling her to push and Sunshine was screaming and gripping my hand even tighter fifteen minutes in the doctor yelled "one last push we're seeing the head" she screamed and did as she was told I heard my babies cry. "One down one more to go" the doctor exclaimed, The other baby was out within one push it's a boy and a girl the nurse said excitingly I felt tears running from my eyes. I still held Sunshines hand I kissed her and told her "good job" one of the nurses cleaned the babies off and the other one cleaned Sunshine up. I haven't looked at our babies I just want to ensure Sunshine is doing fine first.
The nurse that cleaned the babies off called me into the room they were and say "here are your beautiful babies" at first glance they both looked like their mother with tears running from my eyes I lifted them both kissing them on the forehead whispering "daddy loves you".
Sunshine called out and I brought the babies to her she held them and started crying "I can't believe babe these are our cute babies" she said. I smiled and kissed her on the cheek, We got visits from my parents and Sunshine's mom, they were so happy to see their grandkids "what's their names " said my dad, Sunshine replied " Aria and Aden". We all smiled as we watched the babies sleeping.
The doctor told us that everything looked good and we could go home but he told Sunshine very clearly to rest. We went home I ensured everything was set for our baby's arrival they had their room and all the toys a child could ever want. We settled in, I heard a knock at the door I went downstairs to open it, it was two police officers one of them said
"Alex your under arrest you have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can and will be used against you in a court of law. You have the right to an attorney. If you cannot afford an attorney, one will be provided for you".
Sunshine screamed "nooo why are you taking him what did he do," one of the officers said, "Mam your fiancé is under the suspicion of trafficking guns". Sunshine didn't say anything else she only cried.
I said, "babe call my lawyer".
