I slowly walk around the strange, white abyss, trying to figure out where the hell I am.

The last thing I can remember is falling asleep in my bed, watching Deidara happily work on his new clay. The day had blown by fast. Kisame's fish tank was set up and Nemo was happily welcomed into the family. I talked to Pein later about what they had planned for the future and found that Kisame was right. They hadn't even thought about it. I pulled Kakashi aside later and asked him on the subject. They hadn't thought of anything either. I figured if that continued, I'd talk to the contractor who's scheduled to come tomorrow about possibly building several more houses around mine.

But now I'm not sure what's going to happen because I'm not in my house.

I'm not even sure where I am.

"Hello?" I coil my arms around my torso, frowning. "Is anyone there?"

"Why hello there."

A sharp shudder rips through my spine. Gritting my teeth, I swallow back the chilly coldness that prickles my skin and turn.

Standing before me is a strange, white silhouette outlined in a fraying blackness. It beams at me with its creepy wide smile.

I blink.

"Aren't you Truth? From Fullmetal Alchemist?"

It shrugs lightly. "I do not control a single domain, Alex. I control all of the dimensions surrounding yours, including Fullmetal and Naruto."

I stare at it for a few moments. "So are you the one sending me the kittens?"

Its lips stretch back into a gleaming grin.

"Bingo."

I gasp awake and sit up.

Sasori removes his hand from my shoulder, dull brown orbs watching as I slowly calm down. Deidara mumbles something under his breath and I look down. Sleepily, he feels around for my body and frowns when he finds nothing. I suppress a smile and look to Sasori.

"What is it?" I ask softly.

"I found this outside of your door. It sounded like you were having another nightmare, so I came up here to investigate." Danna lightly touches the top of a large cardboard box that sits on my bed.

I gasp.

Pulling it closer to me, I glance over the top. My name is, once again, scribbled along the top in crimson red. I rip the tape off and pull the tabs open.

Eleven pairs of eyes stare up at me, all different colors.

I let out a loud, irritated groan, which wakes Deidara up. "What's wrong, hmm?" He shoots up into a sitting position beside me, regarding me with a worried expression.

"I don't care what anybody says, these ones are staying kittens until we decide on what we're going to do about the house." I poke him in the chest irritably, dumping the kittens out onto the bed. Several of them yowl in protest and I hiss at them. Deidara watches me for a few moments, skewering me with his eyes, while I lay down.

"Are you alright, hmm?" He moves so he hovers over me.

"Just peachy." I grumble. After he doesn't move for a couple of minutes, I roll back over so I'm facing him. I shoot him a tired look and yawn slightly, pulling him down beside me with one arm. I sigh and get comfortable at his side, facial features twisting into something worried. Sasori strolls over to his workbench. "What's bothering you, Alex?"

Deidara rubs my arm, silently seconding Sasori's question.

"I...had a really weird dream." I frown, tracing small designs into Deidara's deliciously bare chest. "It didn't feel like a dream though. I was awake and walking around in this white abyss." My frown deepens. "And I met Truth. He's a god-like figure in a different anime and he told me he's been sending me you guys, but before I could ask anything else I was shaken awake by Danna."
